The plot was messy and we've seen it a bunch of times in the past. Rama felt like he was thrown in a completely different movie. But Evans is a brilliant filmmaker. He knows how to set the tone and create the atmosphere. And then there is the action. Every single action scene here simply kicks ass. Incredibly well shot, edited and choreographed. The prison fight and the kitchen fight were my favourites. Actually the kitchen fight is one of the most intense action scenes ever. I'm talking top-10 ever.
So yes it has a bunch of flaws but i loved it and parts of it i'll be rewatching them forever.

I'm pretty sure it won't be a complete remake. For starters with Black directing and writing it will be set on Christmas so we 'll have Predators in snow.
I think it will probably be in the same universe as the first but it won't continue the Predators storyline and it's going to take a different road. I really like Black's style and i hope for a Schwarzenegger cameo.
It will probably reach 490m. Still has a chance (a slim one though) to 500m. It's going to be close but i see it taking this year's WW top spot of superhero films.
Sick, intense, suspenseful, darkly funny, jaw-dropping violent. One of the best films about vengeance ever IMO. Kim Jee-Woon is a great talent. I even prefer it to Old Boy and i really liked that.
Felt like 3 movies jammed in one. And none of them any good.
Probably the storyline about the African family leaving in his house was the best one but it felt like a completely different film and it had the least screen time. Most of it was about Costner and his daughter which was cliche after cliche, uninteresting, badly written and it drags the movie down. It's pretty boring actually. At least the action was energetic but the plot didn't make any sense or it was just silly. I mean how many times did the drug started kicking in when he was about to finish his mission? Every time! Heard's character was from a different film also and made no sense either. She was acting like she had a secret and she was hidding something but nothing happend with her character. Costner was good at least.
I was looking for some fun action flick but i got a boring mess.
I just finished the second season and it's as brilliant as the first one. The Underwood's are such intelligent, cold and mean monsters but at the same time you can't get your eyes of them. Spacey and Wright were born for those roles.
The Toy, a Richard Pryor movie i saw once as a kid and remember nothing about.
48HRS opened second that weeked but ended up doing more. Also The Verdict and Gandhi opened but in limited release.

It's close to the end of its run. Domestic numbers were disappointing but it had a surprising solid run overseas.
I was surprised when i saw that Dean Norris (aka Hank Schrader for the Breaking Bad fans) was in Total Recall. I mean i've seen the movie a bunch of times but i never made the connection.
