  9. The movie with the most walkouts i 've ever attended is by far Irreversible (the French film with Cassel and Bellucci). By the way it's a really hard film to stomach and a love-it-or-hate-it experience but i really like it. On topic, very solid CD for most films.

  12. This is a brilliant, haunting film. A trully well crafted survival thriller full of suspense. It manages to keep your interest from start to finish with just one actor who says almost nothing. But it's full of drama and tension without knowing almost nothing about the protagonist. It's like if Sandra Bullock had no communication with Clooney in Gravity and had to express everything that was happening to her all alone with her actions. The fact that Redford has no name and we know nothing about him gives him an archetypal and allegorical dimension. Man against nature. Feels like a Jack London story. And Robert Redford gives one of his best performances ever. His performance is deep, precise and subtle. I really liked Gravity but this is a better survival thriller and a superior film.
  13. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/default.htm?id=tomb.htm 89.5m OS From current markets it will probably reach 95m. With Spain, Japan and some other smaller countries it has a really good chance of making over 100m.
  14. A perfect ending to a great trilogy. Everything i loved about the previous films is here. It's bigger but equally entertaining and engaging.
  15. This is probably my favourite Bourne film. The Moscow chase and the scene with his first victim's daughter make it stand above most of the similar action thrillers. Damon was excellent, the script was tight and well written and Greengrass brought so much energy and suspense to the picture. It's one of my favourite action films.
  16. 53.5m OS Having some big China numbers. Solid total so far. It has a good chance of making 90m at the end.
  17. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=elysium.htm 191.6m OS. It had a solid overseas run.
  18. It's really enjoyable. It doesn't have many surprises (even though the twist at the end caught me off guard) and the plot has a bunch of holes but it's really fun and entertaining. Lots of laughs too especially from Arnold who looks great here and he probably does his best acting since True Lies (his rant in German and the machine gun scene were the highlights). Stallone is solid also and they have a good chemistry together. I wasn't sure if they would fit together but they make it work easily. Cavizel was good too, he looked like he had fun and he chew so much scenery in every chance he got. Sure you can't really take it seriously but it does exactly what it promises.
  19. Is this the Brian De Palma one? Isn't it from 2012? If we mean that film then it's one of my biggest disappointments in years since i'm a big De Palma fan. Sure he hasn't had a good film in years but even in his lesser efforts you could see some classic De Palma themes ans strokes of brilliance. But this film is really bad in a Direct-To-Dvd way. Bad performances, weak writing, awful dialog and no atmosphere what so ever. At times i thoguht it was a comedy. I hope De Palma still has a couple of good movies in him. He can only go up from here.
  20. One of the best films of the year so far. With excellent performances (Gyllenhaal was the high point for me), a brilliant script, full of suspense and mystery. Extremely atmospheric cinematography also. It had some pacing issues here and there but those are minor complaints. It kinda reminded me of Mystic River. I can see it having a real shot at actor, screenplay and cinematography nominations.
  21. It will do more than 300m. That is a big success.
