  1. Do You think the critics Will like it? Is it really an Oscar contender?
  2. Thank You. In gross, for sure. Very good number. Clooney's movie (The Monuments Men) made only 0.39 million total in South Korea.
  3. No, HE One of the best in boxofficeforuns. Very good information.
  4. How much Fury can get? 2 or 3 Million weekend?
  5. Fury is not even in the top five in presales. Will it bomb? Sony sent Brad Pitt to South Korea, But it seems it didn't work.
  6. Probably a big fail. Cinemark in my city has 10 or more sessions for a big release. Interstellar has only three sessions (all three at night)
  7. Low increase from thursday for Fury. Last week Gone Girl had 146% increase from thursday. With less than 4 million, it'll do around 13 Million this weekend.
  8. You don't need to defend the movie. It's a hit. Why You need that everybody like it?I didn't like it. I find it generic and overrating. Some critics find it "new" just because some scenes are almost videoclips (old music, some dance).I
  9. Corpse, is this the big week for cinema in Japan?I saw last year numbers and the movies made more than two times in weekdays in this week than what they did in the weekend.
  10. Not exactly a phenomenon: Marvel and comic books, explosions, weird characters, colors, alliens, explosions.
  11. Guardians is totally overrated.Boring movie.I'm a little surprised with international success. In USA I undestand, they love teen dumb humor.
  12. Thank You. Then, Hollywood Reporter number is wrong. It was too low.
  13. Hollywood Reporter has Maleficent with $ 49 million total.Seems low.Is this the real number?http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/japan-box-office-transformers-age-724560
  14. You can get in boxofficemojo. Choose yearly and the year of release for Japan (link below or google).http://www.boxofficemojo.com/intl/japan/?yr=2014&wk=31&p=.htm
  15. Corpse, is the Maleficent total right? If so, it did much more in weekdays than in weekends. It had 46 million in the end of last weekend. If it'll have 50.9 million with 1.4 million this weekend, then it made 3.5 million from monday to friday. And this explain the high number for Maleficent overseas (497.2 million), since it only had 492.5-493 million last weekend.
  16. Screendaily has a very high overseas total for Maleficent until wednesday (497 million). It had 492,5 million sunday with a 3.3 million weekend total, 2.2 million coming from Japan. The 497 million is only possible with wonderful weekdays numbers from Japan this week, almost 4 million in 3 days.Seems impossible, and probably screendaily number is incorrect. Or Disney had a wrong weekend total.
  17. Just for the record: I think it's billion where You have million, if I understood your numbers. I understood: first weekend total in yens, second weekend total in yens, etc.
  18. Yes, weekend in Brazil now is thursday - sunday. The movies are released in thursdays since april I think.
  19. Probably not until July, 31. TF4 had more than 3.8 million in July, 31.
  20. Iron Man was never a Paramount movie.Iron Man was the first movie produced by Marvel.Paramount only had distribuion rights.Marvel payed a fee for distribution. But, by contract, Paramount had distribution rights for The Avengers and Iron Man 3 too. Disney bought it for 115 million.http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-07-02/disney-buys-rights-to-four-marvel-movies-from-viacom-s-paramount.html
  21. Can it be the biggest of all time? I saw that Avatar made 105 million. Seems possible.
