TF4 DOM(7.7M) < 1/2 China($15M)
So I guess it's safe to say now that TF4 will make more in China than in NA, which is insane, but not that surprising IMO.

Very thin? In what world is that very thin?
He probably meant very thin compared to now.

1. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty 8.2/10

3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier 8/10
4. The LEGO Movie 8.25/10
5. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 6/10
6. Godzilla 7.8/10
7. X-Men: Days of Future Past 9/10
8. Edge of Tomorrow 8.3/10

These numbers are not great. TF4 with a huge drop and Tammy below expectations. I guess MM just isn't that big of a draw anyway. The rest is performing quite boringly, IMO. No flop and no hit.
Edit: Happy Birthday, Blankments!

I really don't eat much pizza. But if I do, it's mostly ordinary stuff like cheese, bacon/sausage and mushrooms. If it comes to Fast-Food, I'm more of a burger guy.

Ate two pizzas. Not a good idea. Might throw up.
Two whole pizzas? Were you so hungry or why did you eat so much?

My favorites in no particular order:
Eastwood
Newman
Hackman
Bridges
Crowe
Bale
Connery
Nicholson
Hanks
And number 10 would be Gary Oldman who's not on your list but I still think he's incredible.

I think Frozen is overrated, though I still really like it. LEGO is better than Frozen IMO.

To join the STID debate, I really like both new Trek movies a lot. I think they're very entertaining and the cast mostly does a good to great (referring to Cumberbatch) acting job. The script does have its weaknesses, but JJ Abrams is a pretty good director IMO. Some of the criticism says that ST09 and STID feel more like Star Wars than Star Trek, which I agree with. But since JJ is doing Episode VII now, I don't think that's a bad thing. I should also mention that I barely ever saw any of the old ST stuff, so I probably like the new movies more than people who know and love the original series and movies.

Is there any hint at when the early shows for Tammy started?
Deadline says they started at 8 p.m.

It's tough to extrapolate since it's a holiday, but I think Tammy could make close to $40M for the five-day weekend.

But what about Spider-Man 2 or Incredibles
I need to rewatch SM2 to comment on that since I last saw it years ago. The Incredibles is really great but I was talking about live-action movies. If we do count TI, I would say it comes quite close to TA in terms of entertainment.

I think Baumer's explanation for most movies staying flat or slightly decreasing makes sense. However, do you think some Americans also "celebrated" Canada Day by going to the movies or were it just Canadians?

I love the poster of Will Smith unshaven with a beanie. The concept had so much more potential though. It was R-rated wasn't it?
Seems like I am not able to post the poster. Oh well.
It was PG-13. I also like the poster and the idea of the film in general. As far as I know, Hancock is the only big superhero movie which is not based on a comic book character.
Edit: Deathlife beat me to it with the rating.

Can TF4 hit a billion worldwide (inclusive of North America). It seems to be making a massive sums in NA and China.
Since it's doing incredible in China, I think it will barely make it. I don't think it will match TF3 though.

Hancock is the definition of a movie that no one remembers despite grossing so much. Crappy movies often fall by the wayside as the years go by. I really was hyped to see that film, hell, I was on holiday in the US at the time, and saw it (didn't even remember this til now!) and it was pretty bad. It had so much more potential but alas, who remembers it even today?
I thought Hancock was quite enjoyable in the first two acts. The third act was kind of a mess though and I didn´t like Charlize Theron's character suddenly also having superpowers. I felt it just didn't fit in. Overall, Hancock is certainly not Will Smith's best movie, but still miles better than After Earth. I agree on it being kind of forgettable though.

I thought they focused the film way to much on the humor, Loki was a horrible villan I never felt like him of his army of aliens were a threat. It was a fun movie but not a great one. The core actors were great.
That's the main reason why I like it so much. It's just one of the most fun and most entertaining movies I have ever seen. I do agree that TA is not on the same level as TDK, for example.

Some how the anticapation is getting to me even after I was disapointed with the first film.
How can you be disappointed by The Avengers?

I'm not sure what's scarier, the fact that some Maleficent fans act like how Blankments is acting or the fact that Blankments is copying it so well.
The difference is that Blankments praises Copley while the other Maleficent fans praise Angelina Jolie.

It's good.
At least we agree on that.

Dont know. Not the ending.
Did you like the movie anyway?

The ending is hardly the best part of LEGO Movie.
Which is the best part then?
- 1
-
Well at least everything was awesome
I know everything with movies is subjective and I can understand if some people didn't like the humour in LEGO, but if you don't like that ending, you're a bad person IMO.

Where is the marketing for Tammy? Wtf...
I don't know if that's just here in Germany, but nearly every second video I see on Youtube has a 15-second ad for Tammy in front of it.
Early Wed Numbers: Tammy 6.18 (incl 1.3 previews), Trans4 7.7, DUFE: 2.8 ETE 2.6...pg 21

I suppose that took alot of time to make. Could be spot on, but if it stabilizes next week it still has a shot at 250m I think.
