  2. lol well it was SUPPOSED to be up, but it's still not... anyone know where it is or when it's gonna be posted?
  3. I hadn't actually been really looking forward to it to be honest, but once the clip of the first 4 minutes was released I got excited. The cast wasn't the problem for me, not the director (but as Johnny Wiseau says there were a few scenes where the cinematography wasn't great) but the writing towards the end. Maybe my experience was hurt because I saw the movie in an older, run down two-star theater, and I haven't seen it since.
  4. Not sure about 200M for Turtles, but passing 22 Jump Street could be possible...so even with this debut, will No Good Deed hit 55M total? The reviews trash it, but I think audiences will like it "enough" to get it close to 60.
  5. I haven't been around long enough to play any of these games before, so I was wondering what SOTM questions are, and what the rules to answering the weekly questions (if I miss a week, am I disqualified, or are these bonus...?) And so the game starts on October 3rd, so our predictions must be in by the third, and then come the weekly questions...? Also noticed that the B section is asking for Opening Weeks, but I also see OW, and weekend mentioned, so is this a typo, or are we actually predicting the first 7 days? Just wondering how this works. Thanks
  6. Well, they're both surpassing my (sort of pathetic) 13.5M prediction for Dolphin Tale 2 and my 11.2M prediction for No Good Deed that's for sure.
  7. Flyboys, then I might try DaVinci Code next, but I'm not 100% sure Flyboys so far (I have 45 minutes or so left) is a lot better than the critics gave it (and deserved a little more at the box office) IMHO
  8. Will this have a Pompeii type run...?Frankly, I've got a little more faith in this film, but still...
  9. If it does stick to December 2016, I would say it opens the week before SW. There's reasons that that would be a good idea and a bad idea as well, but I think Fox knows they're going to make a lot of money no matter what, so they might want to toy with Disney and Star Wars by being the first one released...
  10. 1. Minority Report 2. Ghost Protocol 3. Edge of Tomorrow 4. The Last Samurai 5. Top Gun 6. Valkyrie 7. Oblivion 8. Mission Impossible 9. War of the Worlds 10. Mission Impossible 2 (granted, I haven't seen MI3 yet...) Man do I need to catch up on Tom Cruise films...
  11. Is there a way to find Canada's percentage of the domestic BO take for individual movies?
  12. I still think there could be a decrease in NA, but I also think it will still wind up over 400M Whatever is loses (if anything) domestic, it will make up for OS, and the WW total will be higher than Catching Fire!
  13. I don't like the saw films, and I haven't seen a few, and the others are hard to watch all the way through. However, the first one did have some artistic merit to it, so it's the best (by default) for me.
  14. like people have said, TMNT is more of a weekend movie, so it should have stronger weekends that some of these other movies (not GOTG) Surprised how Guardians' weekdays are ahead of IM, even though IM had summer weekdays!!
  15. Wow, great year for movies IMO! X-2: X Men United 9/10 (one of the all time great comic-book movies) Matrix Reloaded 7/10 Bruce Almighty 7/10 Finding Nemo 9.5/10 (one of the all time great animated movies) Curse of the Black Pearl 9/10 Freaky Friday 8/10 Elf 9.5/10 The Last Samurai 9/10 Return of the King 9.5/10 Big Fish 10/10 (one of my favourite movies of all time, if not my #1)
  16. Not in any order, not all the movies I've seen: Dead Man's Chest 7.5/10 Open Season 7/10 The Departed 9/10 Casino Royale 9/10 Night At the Museum 7.5/10 There's still a lot that I haven't seen, but I didn't like a lot from that year to be honest...
  17. Some of my favourites: Taken 8/10 Monsters vs. Aliens 7/10 17 Again 7.5/10 Origins: Wolverine 7/10 (plz don't think I'm weird... I just liked that movie) The Proposal 8/10 Ice Age 3 7/10 Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 9.25/10 District 9 7.5/10 Inglorious Basterds 8/10 Zombieland 7/10 2012 okay, I know it's not a good movie, even in my opinion, so I won't rate it. But it has a rewatchability factor for me, and it's really a guilty pleasure The Blind Side 9/10 Avatar 8.5/10 Sherlock Holmes 7/10
  18. Here's just a few that I liked: Percy Jackson and the Olympians 7/10 Shutter Island 9.5/10 (just because I shouldn't really be giving PERFECT 10's to anything) Diary of a Wimpy Kid 7/10 How to train Your Dragon 9/10 Kick-Ass 8.5/10 Iron Man 2 7.5/10 The Karate Kid 8/10 Toy Story 3 9.5/10 Despicable Me 8.25/10 Inception 8.5/10 Social Network 9.5/10 Megamind 7/10 Deathly Hallows Part 1 9.25/10 Tangled 8/10
  19. I really liked the beginning, then it fell apart as it went along.
  20. to be honest I kinda love the Bee Movie as well We all got some unpopular movie opinions. I really like the SW prequels, I liked Pompeii earlier this year, and I thought TASM2 is the third best Spider-Man film. Oh, and I hated Godzilla But this is for the Unpopular Movie opinions page, so let's have me say something about Kung Fu Panda KFP 1 > HTTYD > KFP 2 the gaps are very small, but that's just how I feel. All are amazing movies!
  21. I didn't hate the first one, but it was nothing spectacular. The ending I really didn't like though, and if that ending is supposed to be what leads into the sequel then... eh. Don't hate the idea of Jon Chu. His G.I Joe was the superior G.I Joe film IMO (not saying much but still)
