  1. Look at his name. He has better things to spend with his money Did you fall asleep during the movie or something?
  2. TARGET: $1,000,000,000 After stuck in development hell for many years, Universal is at last unleashing Warcraft upon Azeroth Earth. As a big spectacle fantasy film, could the $1B club be seeing a new recruit? [WORLDWIDE NUMBERS ONLY] CLUB REASONS - As one of the most profitable online games of all time, the Warcraft brand has an established place in popular culture - Over 30 million people have bought and subscribed to World of Warcraft globally, and despite being over a decade old it is still popular - World of Warcraft is huge already in China. With its rapidly growing market, demand for big-budget special effects films, and Warcraft being co-financed by China Film, could be looking at 300-400M in the country, or even higher - Duncan Jones' first two films were excellently received; there are some very talented creatives in the movie - Universal has recently been pushing phenomenal successful marketing campaigns for its major movies - Warcraft is set to have some of the most advanced visual effects ever seen, which will appeal to mass audiences - The movie has a prime summer release date, same weekend as Jurassic World, one of the biggest OWs of all time - Diverse cast should appeal to various audiences - Although major fantasy films are not common, the Middle-earth films have shown there is a demand for big budget epic fantasy FROSTWOLF CLAN treeroy: 1,131M Red-Ops 9 Owen McGrady Jake Gittes HeyItsMoses BURNING LEGION Icicle Jandrew killimano3 theStun North Stars: 460M DAJK: 490M grey ghost: 500M DAR: 525M Ethan: 680M Ray G: 702M
  3. I don't know how that is a spoiler, but yes Judy Greer was in The Village.
  4. I worded my post terribly, meh avengers had more from previews. otherwise HP is still #1
  5. I am like that too, I always adjust. And JW has grabbed every adjusted single day number in box office history and gobbled them all up.
  6. I think it just needs to be re-emphasised that Jurassic World has just had the BIGGEST DAY OF BOX OFFICE IN THE HISTORY OF CINEMA. Adjusted, unadjusted, it doesn't matter, JW has beaten everything and had the biggest single day ever... and you guys are just arguing about whose prediction is right and wrong.
  7. Opening day and it's already grossed well over its huge budget. Not bad, I suppose...
  8. Wrong. Look at the total tickets sold for animated films per year, the past few years have been down by quite a considerable amount compared to the years before.
  9. This weekend makes me feel more confident about Warcraft hopefully it will be as successful as it deserves to be.
  10. Universal really spared no expense with their marketing campaign. Over here the buzz has been much stronger than any of those three for the past few weeks - and now that it's here, it is outgrossing them all, so that matches up just fine.
  11. Obviously that statement is BS, but it's not entirely untrue, insofar as animated films as a whole are not doing as well as they used to - audiences are watching less animated movies. I take it I'm the only person excited for Captain Underpants, then.
  12. I take it you haven't seen the movie then It is made very clear where the sequels will go - and there is room for many, many more films. Vague spoiler for what will happen in future movies, this is stuff set up in the first 20 mins of the film:
  13. Avengers: 18.7/80/207 Jurassic: 18.5/80+/xx Avengers doing 18.7 midnights compared to JW's 18.5 7pm+, and yet JW gets a higher Friday, says to me that Avengers is more frontloaded than Jurassic World.
  14. weekends on this scale are extremely rare, so it's probably safer to not raise expectations too high.
