  1. Dante's Peak > the stinkers that have been released from Roland Emmerich's bottom. (i.e. all of his films)
  2. Nicolas Cage is fabulous in National Treasure 2. Scenes by the French Statue of Liberty & Buckingham Palace, he goes 150% Nic Cage mode.
  3. Ehh. Hanks and Spielberg have only done two movies together, and I don't like either of them. Also what coolio said.
  4. Um, you think the only political aspect of Mad Max is the environmental damage?
  5. Yes. I think so, although I'm searching around seeing some articles about MM on Chinese websites, and they aren't mentioning that it isn't showing in the country.
  6. baumer can you please not do these trick questions in future. You yourself include Thursday previews as Friday numbers in Friday questions for BSG, so I think it's unreasonable to expect people to include those. this question in particular doesn't bother me, because my answer is wrong whether Thurs sneaks are included or they aren't. but can I please request that you don't write these trick questions in future You said you wouldn't clarify what the question meant, so why would anyone ask for clarification?
  7. I don't think Spielberg has ever been that great with non-blockbusters, honestly. (with exceptions)
  8. War of the Worlds is one of his best but that's it. I know he hasn't done many films but he is not what he used to be. Also, I think Flight is great (I know that's an unpopular opinion here) and in Zemeckis's top 5.
  9. Eh. Spielberg seems losing his touch, and I'm not yet sold on The Walk, even though I like and trust Zemeckis. Truth be told, all three of the directors are filmmakers who made classic films a few decades ago, and haven't been doing as greatly recently.
  10. I'm not trying to lecture anyone, I've just never heard that term before.
  11. He made one good film and two box office successes. Not an impressive career tbh. english, speak it pls.
  12. Exactly what I expected for San Andreas. Those people suggesting that "this proves Johnson is a draw" - what rubbish. Disaster movies with no star power at all have opened much higher. This is a consistently successful genre, and this movie would likely succeed with or without the star. If this was a different genre then there could be some weight to the idea that this proves something, but it doesn't. It doesn't prove his box office draw either way.
