  1. Captain America is going to be higher than Iron Man. I'll bet my life on it. BUT HE'S THE GREATEST CHARACTER IN ALL FICTION.
  2. 2001 is nothing like Interstellar, Nolan shouldn't have been pushing the 2001 references quite so hard for Interstellar promotion.
  3. We are all lost for words, that's all. Tbh, I don't think it is that controversial. 2001 is certainly a divisive film. Many, many people don't like it, while the people who do like it tend to think it's incredible. There doesn't seem to be a lot of middle ground. From your review it sounds like you had expectations, and that's why it was disappointing. Not surprising really when so many people have hailed it as one of the greatest films ever. It's not like most films. It isn't character-focused; the characters are all important and represent plenty of meaningful things, but getting emotionally invested in them isn't what the film is about. I don't want to sound pretentious but if you are looking for surface-level fun/enjoyment, 2001 will not provide.
  4. We'll see. You're new to the forum, you have no idea how many crazy Cap fanboys there are here...

  6. I really wish I had fallen asleep watching The Firm. It was like watching my entire life being dragged out into an eternity right before my eyes. I tried to reach out and grab it so it would stop, but I was helpless. An agonisingly dull and unengaging "thriller".
  7. I didn't say it was original. Very little of Edge of Tomorrow is original - the film is all execution, execution, execution. The comedy is done very precisely in EoT, and frankly I wasn't expecting the movie to be anywhere near as funny as it is.
  8. if you don't think 2001 is the best movie ever then im putting u on ignore jandrew

  10. The difference there, DAJK, is that Kristen Stewart can actually act. Keanu though...
  11. Grim's post really confused me... I was like, 'Uhh, pretty sure Lionsgate distributes THG here', thanks for clarifying
  12. Wait what? This is 100M? Seriously? I thought it would be like 30M... it certainly doesn't look like a 100M movie.
  13. Except Last Action Hero is a billion times better than True Lies.

  15. Wow, that's good marketing. 2015 is Universal's year. I thought that was really inappropriate too. But, I must admit I laughed.
