Seriously, it's disgusting that black people are allowed in movies. I'm saying it because it's my opinion, you can't judge me, you're probably black anyway so don't judge me. I'm white, I'm better.
Well, my 219M prediction was clearly a bit off. Likely by over 10%, which is a shame. I don't feel like an idiot though - given how strong legs The Avengers had, and the ever-increasing success of the other MCU series, I really thought the sequel would open bigger. Oh well, I've learned something about sequels to films that open this high.
Ultron's ratio of previews to Friday day is closest to Cap 2 and Guardians, which had virtually identical weekends. If it then follows a similar pattern through the weekend, it can clear 200M and even match Avengers 1.
Months really don't matter when it comes to tentpoles. If you make a big movie that people want to see, it doesn't matter when you release it, they'll watch it either way.
You find it hard to believe that a number can change, the later it gets? (i.e. the more accurate it gets)
