Saw this last night, really enjoyed it. Got home and watched Godzilla 2014 for comparison. Minus One definitely the superior film and I say that as someone who thinks the 2014 one is great. Kind of wish it had ended differently though.

Not necessarily, it is possible to just keep things quiet you know. They made a very public announcement that they were ending the DCEU. If they kept quiet until now then fans would still be invested in this and watch it. Its not like the new Superman has been filming yet, it would have been very possible to keep this info under wraps for a few more months. Even if people knew there was a new Superman that doesn't mean the rest of the DCEU was going to collapse.

anything DCEU has been doomed since they announced last year that the universe is getting rebooted. This is the final DCEU movie right? They should have kept the reboot plans quiet until after this had released. Would have helped not just this film but Flash and Shazam 2 too.

The 2015 storyline isn't *bad*, it's still better than the last two movies. It's just that the 1950s storyline is much more engaging, so when it cuts away from the 50s you're like "Hey I wanna go back to see more of that"

started watching the tv show last night. now 3 episodes in, really enjoying it, particularly the 1950s storyline. and funny how one brief scene in a TV show is able to portray a better sense of massive scale than the last 2 movies.
