  1. At BOF, I know we get invested in this sort of thing.

For one it's been a great year for movies, and there has been surprise break-out hits.

    Rank/predict:

First place (winner), second place, third place or even honorable mentions to movies of this year.

    OW:

    OS:

    DOM:

    WW:

    Predicts?

  2. I'm actually not sure what primary genre Big Hero 6 falls under.

I mean it's billed like a Superhero movie, but really... Hiro's goal isn't to save anyone it's

to get justice for his brother's death

. The primary focus of the movie is on Hiro and Baymax rather than the superhero team aspect.  Would this be more sci-fi than superhero?  (Not that it can't be both, but if you had to pick one of those as the primary genre)

BTW: For the purposes of this question: Animation is a medium, not a genre.

I have to agree with you, this very much felt like a sci-fi film to me as well. :)

    Especially when Baymax

was evolving and became more human

  3. I loved the way Baymax's voice sounded, very calm and pleasant :D

I also loved the fact while Baymax was a robot

in so many ways he evolved and became human

And do you guys think that it was kind of a

    Supernatural thing?

It would make sense that Baymax

grew to care about them, it was his prime directive to

Oh God I loved how they

built it up how he became evolved, it was true genius

When I got done watching it was pretty much that for me I thought,

do you guys also feel that Tadashi was alive in Baymax somehow? I know that's pretty much a given. Especially with the chip inside Baymax was beautiful. I know Tadashi made him to help others, the way he would himself

And while Baymax had his own lovable and genuine characteristics,

I can't help but feel that way about Tadashi

  4. I'm not much of an animation guy. I'll probably watch the screener with my son.

That's cool. I bet your son would love Baymax. At my showing, the children seemed to be taken with him.I also found to my surprise, there were more adults there with teens at the viewing. I know that the marketing points toward the children, but after seeing it could possibly appeal to all ages. Just the story, the dynamic of it all, ended up surprising me.
