Let's see. We have no idea how crazy and extreme these people are. We have seen what they did to the streets of Hong Kong.. -

Petition is from some vocal minority in Hong Kong and Taiwan; not the US... -

Not from what I am hearing, everyone who worked with him wants to work with him again. Gareth Edwards, Niki Caro, DJ Caruso, even Chad now. In Asia, he worked multiple times with Raymond Wong, Nicholas Tse, Simon Yam, Wilson Yip, Sammo Hung, Jet Li, Michelle Yeoh and the name goes on and on. I know people in the industry who worked with him on Ip Man 4 and can't sing enough praises about his work ethics. Don't spread some online rumours you hear, there is a reason why he is one of the highest paid actors in the world today and everyone wants to work with him. -

These 2 news outlets are forever against China and amplifying very small issues started by a vocal minority. 7 million people in Hong Kong, barely 1% signed the petition. LOL. But CNN and BBC want to sound as if this a big news. -

Not sure whether you guys know that Chad Stahelski himself is a talented martial artist, stuntman as well as the founder / co-owner of 87eleven (basically action choreography and stunt team for many Hollywood blockbusters today). Donnie Yen is obviously a living legend, he introduced MMA to Asia via his films - SPL and Flashpoint, and inspired the likes of Zhang Weili (current UFC women champ) to learn MMA. Yen (including uncredited wins) is also the receipient of the most action choreography awards in the Hong Kong film awards. Am really excited to see what these two are gonna bring to the table. Yen just said in an interview that he never felt more comfortable working with a director and Chad totally understands him. -

LOL. You think the Academy cares about some keyboard warriors and agrees to cancelculture? If the Academy does that - what signal are they giving? Petition is by some Hong Kongers, which is not even a key market for Hollywood... while Donnie Yen represents US-China relations noting he is now a political party member in the arts division. You know how much more viewership and how clips can be trending on weibo if he attends? Especially noting Oscar was banned last year in China due to Chloe Zhao. -

Donnie Yen is invited to present an award at the Oscar, he is the co-lead of John Wick 4. Some suspect he might be presenting Best Female Actress to Michelle Yeoh (his close friend and someone who worked closely together for many years) - am sure he will talk about John Wick 4 on stage. Might be a catalyst here. -

ya. Patheric headline - clickbait.. Even though what Donnie Yen said and the entire piece of information is a postive one but the headline dragged it down.. -

Great breakdown / interview released just before JW4. Can't believe this freaking Legend is in the film. But not sure whether there will be IMAX screening in my country..Liongate's overseas distribution is not exactly strong. -

Hoping JW4 does well... A little sick of CGI fest and really hope real stunts, real action gets more appreciation. Obviously it won't reach the success of Top Gun 2 last year, but still hope it breaks out. -
Hence the bravery for Dreamswork to relesse it as counter programme for Avatar 2 in December. Could have done more though, if it wasn't released on VOD so early. It is really great film, right alongside the best Dreamwork films including Shrek 2 and HTTYD. The Bad Guys is also a great film.. Dreamworks slaying it.

Taking risks not just in terms of originality... but also in terms of release / distribution model. Turning Red should have been theatrical, now audiences know Pixar movies are gonna appear on D+ fast, why bother going to cinemas. In terms of originality, milking toy story via a 5th movie (when 4 was already beating a deadhorse) and lightyear... don't exactly help with public perception.
