    So monster verse franchise seems to be a front loaded one like the X-Men franchise. Those movies even with good wom always struggled on 2nd weekend.

    Was hoping it would crack 200M with actuals, but ok. As long as it manages to gross $600+M WW and becomes highest grossing film of Kong and Godzilla franchise, all is good.

    That movie has bomb written all over it. Nothing will save it. Not even great reviews.

    More like GVK didn't reach its full potential at the time of release atleast domestically. Had GvK released today, it would be doing better than what GxK is doing. Lot of people caught it on OTT and enjoyed it enough to come for the sequel. That and the audience that couldn't go for GvK are coming for this.

    And Ghostbusters March delivered big time. All big films did well.

    Like Rise of the beasts. I had fun with that movie, so this won't be any different.

    If filming begins in August then there is no way it will release in July 2025. That is less than a year turnaround for a vfx heavy movie. I see another delay. Maybe November or December 2025 if Avatar 3 gets delayed to December 2026.

    That still would be a record for Kong franchise. I am expecting it to become the biggest Kong opener and 2nd-3rd biggest Godzilla opener. It will be biggest opener worldwide for the monsterverse franchise. It will also break some records in Asia and Latin America. All in all biggest grosser ever worldwide for both Kong and Godzilla. I am bullish, but whatever.

    As expected Ghostbusters doing well. 40+ ow. Next weekend GxK will break franchise records.

    Never a good sign, but whatever....atleast they are going back to the basics like Prey. This should get decent reception.
