I'm hoping the media starts actually reporting the shortcomings of Modi which in turn let's Modi work on those. It will be great for both his party as well as the country.
This. Media which is the 4th pillar of democracy has done more harm than good for the country. It had become so pro BJP and completely whitewashing their wrong doings. Hopefully, after this result, there will be some checks and balances. We need a strong media that questions every move of the government along with a strong opposition.

The rock is like a bollywood actor. Most of them are never on time on the sets.

A Rush Hour 4 would flop for sure.
Speaking of reviving dead comedy franchises, I'm intrigued to see how the Scary Movie revival goes, especially if they can manage to bring both Faris and Hall back. Luckily for it, there's been a slew of famous horror movies over the past decade that easily lend themselves to parody for them to tackle, something that wasn't the case when the flop previous movie from 2013 arrived.
I actually think Rush Hour 4 would do fine. 250+ WW based on nostalgia

Horror flopping this year is making me happy. No more make a cheap horror movie and get the buzz going to get a good opening weekend to cover the budget.
Go back to the drawing boards lazy ass horror directors.

So Shyamalan jr. flops miserably. Another child following in the footsteps of father flops miserably.

didnt know where to talk about this
Happy with Indian election results
Modi whether good or bad got dictatorial aspirations and got humbled. We are no longer in a one party state and back to the day of coalition govts and unless BJP wants to lose power they gonna have to focus on being friendly or the INDIA bloc will become to strong to stop.
AAP flopping is great, they suck
Sikh Leaders winning in Punjabi is nice as well.
Sikh khalistani leaders. Sorry, but such people are not needed. It doesn't bode well for the future of Punjab which is part of India. Any aspirations of a khalistan will be treated with utter disdain by both BJP and Congress. These khalistani leaders should be kept in check.

Gentle reminder that Venom 2 debuted to $90.1 million, marking the highest-grossing opening of the pandemic to that point, and surpassing the opening weekend gross of Venom ($80.3 million).
We all saw GxK outperforming its predecessor, which was another movie released during the height of pandemic.
I think Venom 3 has a very good shot at 100M opening weekend. Even if it does only 80-90M it would still be great.

Looks another style over substance. I still remember the scene where the pyramid dude ripped off a lady's skin by attacking her boobs.

I think what happened with Marvels has made Marvel sort of leety of November releases. And they want some of that big summer money.
Anyway,I think there is enough of a space betweenthis and Supes so that they will not impact each other.
And, yes, Iger is trying to make the shooting of films more effiicent to try to cut costs. I bet he had had some talks withe Speilber on how Spielbert is able to make a 75 Million dollar movie that looks like it costs 150 Million.
For a long time many in the inudstry have said the way of making movies that has become common is wasteful and is a major reason why films cost so much. Now studios have to crack down on waste. Yes, sticking to a plan and schedule does involve alot of work, but IMHO that is part of the job.
Spielbert?
He can talk to Adam Wingard on how GxK was made on just 135M. Same movie at Disney/Marvel would have coated 250M.

It’s not uncommon for blockbusters to have short production starts vs to their release dates. I think this’ll make its current date.
Will be funny if Superman is pushed back and this remains in July 2025. Jurassic World 4 will clean up though.

How did Shawn levy go from Pink Panther to this big time director/producer in hollywood? Looking at his resume, he has made some stinkers, but all his movies have made money in one way or another. This is going to be his biggest blockbuster ever. Reviews wise, I am expecting 40-70% on RT.

This will definitely be pushed to November/December 2025 depending on Avatar 3. If Marvel/Disney decide 2 cbms are enough per year then maybe to February/May 2026.

Maybe an unpopular opinion around here - but I think this will be the highest grossing superhero film of 2025. And by a wide margin.
Jinxed. Good stuff. Will now be the lowest grossing by a wide margin.

The lack of respect for Abigail and other horror entries this year tears me apart. I thought Abigail in particular was clever and funny as hell.
Horror fans have a horrible taste. Actual good horror films don't do well and overly hyped nonsense horror break records.

Imax release confirmed despite proximity to Superman.
It will be shot with imax cameras.

The cast for this barring the stunt casting of Pedro Pascal is pretty darn good. Rest is upto Marvel, the director and writers.

This feels like such a non event. Honestly, zero buzz or hype in India. Maybe the movie is good and they are confident it will manage a solid opening weekend and then wom will take care of the rest, but honestly I won't be shocked if it does under 35M opening weekend.

Oh and I totally want Twisters to be the highest grossing movie of the summer after Deadpool 3 just so that Glen Powell becomes a legitimate movie star.

It's dropping quite a bit in european markets as far as I can see and China is a total wash. No idea about latam/asia.
It is scorching hot in Europe and honestly the hype for this movie wasn't no where close to the last 2 films. This feels more like a Rise situation. A 400+ WW total would be decent result. I hope it manages that much. Furiosa will bomb hard, so this has a solid chance of developing some legs in overseas markets.

It looks like Superman just finish having sex and putting back his attire.
That is a more interesting movie than this will ever be.

The last trilogy really deflated the audience. I am fully expecting this movie to pay for the sins of the last trilogy.

Great for the boxoffice. Inside out 2 will win the summer now, as animated movies tend to have good legs. This doing 160+M ow is not what I saw coming.
Will suck hype of upcoming movies. Deadpool 3 might underperform compared to expectations if reviews are mediocre.
