Do people really care about TKDR's numbers anymore?Sorry, but I don't. The shooting is too big of a deal, and box office dollars seem so insignificant now.My thoughts and prayers are with the victims. Here's hoping that justice is served.
Off the top of my head:InceptionSpider-Man 3The Dark KnightLegend of the Guardians: The Owls of GaHooleThe Hunger Games trailer 2Winnie the Pooh (a perfect example of a bland trailer becoming AWESOME because of dazzling music)
I don't think Nolan has had a mistep yet.FollowingMementoInsomniaBatman BeginsThe PrestigeThe Dark KnightInceptionAll of them have been critically acclaimed. He's a pretty young director, though.
Noctis, you think a list is stupid and therefore it deserves to be locked?Personally, I think 2012 is shaping out to be the biggest ever. TDKR + TA is just going to look amazing in the record books.
[*]Toy Story 3
[*]The Incredibles
[*]Ratatouille
[*]Monsters Inc
[*]Toy Story 2
[*]Finding Nemo
[*]Toy Story
[*]Cars
[*]Cars 2
[*]Up
[*]WALL-E
[*]A Bug's Life
The opening of Up is amazing, but the movie loses me once Dug and Kevin take over the movie. I never cared for WALL-E or A Bug's Life.
All 12 are at least a B+, though.
Ahh, it feels good to be part of this phenomenon. So glad I saw the midnight showing.Incredible opening day. I couldn't be happier seeing this amazing movie become such a hit.
Everyone I've talked to, and myself too, adored this added-in scene. Also, when Prim tucked in her shirt... :(Oh, and the movie was fantastic. Glad I was the midnight showing.
The Hunger Games
Carmike Cinemas
Jackson, MI
12:02am showing
80% full; I think it was approximately a 200 seater (the 12:01 showing was sold out, I believe)
Trailers:
What To Expect When You're Expecting (some laughs)
Titanic 3D
The Amazing Spider Man (this looked sweet on the big screen)
The Avengers
Snow White and the Huntsman
House at the End of the Street
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn II (like three girls cheered at the beginning. I did not.)
The movie was fantastic. Everyone loved it. There was a random 60+ year old guy sitting alone in my row; I believe even he liked the movie. I saw several groups of adults (including men) mixed in with us teens. The fact that dozens of adults showed up for a midnight shows the widespread demographic of this movie.
