  1. It has nothing to do with intelligence The nature of a CLASSIFIED mission remains the same. Besides the fact that Vickers highered the crew and didn't care.
  2. "The Nostromo crew are commercial freighter officers and blue collar people. At the beginning of the movie, they did what they're supposed to do" Blablabla Just like the crew of the Prometheus. They are brought for a specific task without knowing the true objective. Just like the Marines in Aliens. Just like those bountyhunters in Alien 4 You're deluded if you think people applying for classified positions know the details of the job specifics before being brought on. So you FAIL. once again. And nice job ignoring the other points. It must be embarrassing being this wrong so often.
  3. "witty" picture But it doesn't change the facts. Ridley himself calls Alien a slasher in space. Texas Chainsaw in Space. A B movie with an A movie budget. Looks like it's time for you to stop posting.
  4. Nice argument. Does this forum even have rules? "U N IDIOT" as a response?? wow. I guess childish personal attacks as an argument are a-ok here I like how you have nothing better to do than troll the thread of a SEQUEL to a film you dislike. Ever preventing the sequel from getting any discussion. If I hate a film it gets nothing of my time.
  5. -The crew that is getting briefed about their mission after a 2 years on cryostatis journey when they're about to get to the planet. So they signed on a freakin' space mission with the goal of discovering the origins of Mankind (No biggie) that cost trillion of dollars not knowing why in the first place? WTF?! Yea, it's called a classified mission. Ever heard of it? None of the Alien crews are told of the mission ahead of time. -Janek that let the two morons die just to hit Charlize's booty. Janek who can see those two idiots in real time that leave before Shaw and the ilks since he is monitoring everyone with a holographic 3d map (+visual, audio and electrocardiogram), but yet doesn't tell them they're on the wrong trail to get out and let them getting lost. Janek was following the other team, but did contact them when pulling them up on the monitors. After the storm hit the signal came in sporadically -Shaw knocked out two scientists that tried to freeze her but 10 minutes after they go along together to meet the engineer like nothing ever happened. Similarly, no one seems to be surprised when Shaw appeared completely dishieveled, they start to talk normally not refering and not bothering at all about the squid that is on board. Vickers talks about the squid in the deleted scenes. And by that point dosens of marines were just ripped appart in the cargo bay and Weyland was on his way to immortality, lessening the importance. The crew were guinea pigs for Weyland. -She never expresses animosity toward Vickers after burning down her boyfriend in cold blood too. She does in the Lindelof script. She beats Vickers up twice, but the scenes were cut. Otherwise they don't meet again in the film face to face. -Yeah good idea to remove your helmet 30 minutes after landing on an alien planet These are advanced transgalactic humans who have colonized and terraformed thousands of worlds. Pretty sure their scanners would be accurate. David's scanners even back him up. Do you whine this much about Star Trek, and every other Golden Age Science Fiction? -let the door open to Zombie Fifield without much warning. He wasn't a Zombie. He never dies. He's transforming into an Alien. How on earth would they know he would get up? If a missing trucker showed up dead outside a truck station, would they just stay inside? No... they'd go see. You really think Weyland would let them fly home? No -2 members of the crew die of horrible deaths due to a severe condition of alien mutations. None of this bunch of scientists felt the need to do some kind of autopsy to discover the source of the mutation and why does it effect people differently to prevent other deaths. Apparently, no one care about people dying. They run one on the Enginner, and plan more tests in the morning, but chaos ensues if you didn't notice. -The engineer that goes after Shaw even if he could have taken one of the several ships since they're several other temples in the valley as we saw them when they land on the planet. Shaw could not have stop him from leaving this time but no, this idiot had to be a lame slasher boogeyman just to be caught by the giant squid and gives birth to that abortion of an Alien. Last time he underestimated her she crashed his ship. This time he wouldn't let her escape again. Besides the fact that: A: The other pyramids were miles away B: There is zero reason to assume that they had the same cargo. Are all trucks loaded with the same cargo? No. Shaw ruined his cargo. She's right outside. Her time to die. There was a nice little bit in the Lindelof script when we see the Engie zooming in on her as she walks to the pod. Stumbling out of the pod and walking towards her. It is all filmed, but we have yet to see the full thing -The engineers running through the corridors from whatever menace in elephant masks. (Well, they can breath on this planet and inside their ships so the masks are pretty useless because there can only be one pilot per ship, the other sleep in cryostatis without masks). The suits has other functions. Try using your imagination. Why wouldn't you be suited anyway if an infection were going around? -Engineer's DNA perfectly matches Human DNA at 100% after millions of years of evolution. Nuff said. Your dumbest complaint yet. 100% is never shown, nor do they say it. It simply says "DNA MATCH", meaning it matches base pairs and chromosomes registering as human. Engineers are Transhumans who have progressed further by physically augemnting and perfecting themselves through technology. Notice how the one at the end has a biomechanoid suit fused with his flesh and the chords hook directly into his body. They also do not need the suits on the surface, as he walks towards the ship without it. Again discrediting your claim that the suits are for breathing. The habitable environment is for all of the organisms living in the pyramid, like the one Millburn captures in the deleted scene. The planet was in the process of being terraformed. Now give me a list of your favourite films that have come out within the last decade so we can tare them apart, unless you're a coward.
  6. You must be thinking of the Alien sequels. Every character in Prometheus is a genius compaired to those "marines" in Aliens. Alien was a B movie slasher with an A movie budget as Ridley Scott admits. But Prometheus was much more.

  8. It did explain it. As Ridley said all of the information is in the film. He just didn't spoonfeed us. Watch a Nolan film if you need everything explained to you through bloaded exposition. Too bad I've named flaws in it. Funny how you literally have to lie to get a point across. Prometheus was a success. Haters are the minority by both Audience and Critic opinion. Even when having the answers explained to you like a child you reject them out of nonhumility. You've "made up your mind" to hate anything greater than yourself. What a poor audience member. So psychotic we can't even discuss the sequel in the sequel thread without you bawwwing and slitting your wrists because the previous instalment that was beyond you
  9. The Deacon was known about/created eons ago. Did you read my explanation on the other page?
  10. Actually you didn't. Prometheus has a higher audience score, meaning it has more love. Both IMDb and Rotten tomatoes are gauges, while you have zero gauges. These gauges are positive, with the 1 category being the smallest. And the 10 category quadrupling it. You're already on the other side of the hole. You've lost. Take care Get your jollies trolling another film sequel thread about it predecessor. Haters must have some disturbing mental conditions. I can't imagine obsessing this much about a film I Hate. I wouldn't give it an ounce of my time LOL Proof that Prometheus is quality. All angles are obsessed.
  11. Actually you didn't, as I just demonstrated. It's only jumbled if you're easily confused. You can make these points with any film. Rothsman wanted only a 2 hour runtime so additional cuts had to be made. Since it was R and they wanted more showtimes perday. I'm STILL waiting on that quote where I said I was alright with that scene cut. You sure like changing the subject don't you Sad we can't even speculate of over the sequel here due to these trolls though. This is a Prometheus 2 thread, but all dashrendar44 wants to do is baaawwwwww about Prometheus 1!! Where is your nitpicking of JJ Abram's Star Trek, X-Men First class, or Hobbit? Their sequels are much closer. Or would those be too easy
  12. Actually I have yet to be proven wrong once. You only say that as you yourself were proven wrong. Dishonest and laughable Except it wasn't incoherent at all. Barely anyone noticed it. As I have demonstrated you can do this with any film. It is art. Care to embarrass yourself once again?
  13. Actually you didn't. You can point out any instance in a film that you would have prefered knowing the production behind it. As I have mentioned the same about Alien and Blade Runner. It's opinion. Learn it. Prometheus is a quality film based on what I have explained to you. space biscuit - ∞ points dashrendar44 - 0 points Also still waiting for you to find where I said that. Funny you can't even admit when you were wrong. Learn some humility, bro
