With zero promo, interviews or music videos. The beyonce of 2008 would have been done 373884 promo activities.
She can still see hell for keeping the visuals locked up.
All jokes aside, she had an amazing 20th anniversary of her solo career.- 1

But the Renaissance . . .
IS NOT OVER

I wonder if the really got Bey to promote this movie. She seems to be over this part of the industry.

Drake has been constantly releasing music and albums too but his stats are constantly declining compared to Taylor
It’s no secret that rap music as a whole isn’t as strong as it was 5 years ago, when Drake was the biggest artist on the planet. Ever since the pandemic and TikTok‘s emergence pop music reclaimed its title as the most consumed genre, with Taylor on top. The same thing happened in the 00s, music by black artists was the dominant one during the first half of the decade just to be overtaken around 2008/09 (the big recession) by pop musicians.

What helped Taylor immensely in the streaming era are the constant releases of new records. Since Lover in summer 2019 she’s dropped 8 (!!!) projects, almost 200 songs in a mere 4 years. And Folklore was her crowning achievement during those years, just like Beyonce’s self-titled it helped revive interest after a somewhat muted response of their last projects (Lover/4).

No 21st century artist has sold more than Taylor and no artist has sustained their career like this.
Yes, Adele had a bigger peak but she couldn't manage or build up on it.
Well, how exactly do you top 21 commercially? Not only did she sell unheard of amounts of physical copies, she did that at the peak of download sales, leading the industry there as well. That album remains to be 21st century’s biggest anomaly, so 25‘s decline was only natural, and still quiet soft.

Rihanna would clear both if she made music again.
I don’t think so. Rihanna has always been a singles artist, she got hits for ages, but people never seemed to care for a whole body of work from her. That’s also the reason she has never established herself as a touring force.

I‘m super curious how Renaissance is gonna perform in terms of front-loading given the type of concert film it seems to be.

Meanwhile Taylor pays her respect

I would watch a movie consisting of just the tour interludes alone, they were THIS stunning.

Omg waking up to a possible Bey film in theatres? But yes, unless she has some big actors in it, the Renaissance film wouldn’t make sense for a theatrical release. But then again, they’re just finishing the tour tomorrow, the time might be too limited for a concert special in late November/early December.

Highest grossing Christopher Nolan movies in Italy:
1) The Dark Knight Rises - 14.7M
2) Interstellar - 10.8M
3) Inception - 10.7M
4) The Dark Knight - 9.5M
5) Oppenheimer - 8.9M (opening weekend only)
6) Dunkirk - 8.9M
7) Batman Begins - 6.9M
8)Tenet 6.8M
9) Insomnia - 5.1M
10) The Prestige - 4M
Is this chart in euros? If not, Oppenheimer would actually be #4, €8.9M converts to around $9.6M.

Maybe, maybe we see something like this:
Barbie: 650k
Oppenheimer: 525k
I know that that is extremely optimistic, but I think its possible. Presales look good overall.
Well, Mark is hinting that Barbenheimer could increase this weekend. I mean the weather is doing its part the way things look, WOM also seems to be stellar.

Dunkirk was at £27M after its first 10 days, around £57M in total. Is a £50M gross possible for Oppenheimer?
-
What’s current worldwide total for Interstellar?

So it came in over Dunkirk and Interstellar, do we have OD numbers for Tenet?

Does it reveal a lot? I don’t know if I should watch with just a few days left.

What are the expectations for Oppenheimer?

France is Nintendo’s biggest market in Europe, still good numbers but I expected more from it.
