A Quiet Place is matching Infinity War's pre-sales for Friday. This is the best timeline, folks. The best.
-
I wonder what AQP will do its first weekend in China. What was the last American horror movie that released in the country?
-
How many admissions do you think it'll achieve over this weekend? Great numbers in Chile, and its great to see the movie market continues to grow in the country!
-
The Chinese box office: Where you can go from a $200 million entire run to a $200 million opening weekend and still be considered a failure. Never change, China.
Also, Kudos to Gavin Feng on being conservative and calling it right.

I am not sure how fast its supposed to go, but Maoyan is updating Infinity War every 5 seconds, and its going up about 10,000 yuan per update.

If the score is legit, then I assume it's because of the ending not being everyone's cup of tea...
The problem with legitimacy is that the numbers simply do not add up to it being legitimate.

If its anything like IMDB, it may take a day to shake the score out.
Where is the best place to look at live, running totals for the movies? http://piaofang.maoyan.com/dashboard?date=2018-05-10 ?
How are midnights going to work for IW - is it 02:58 in China, therefore midnights are 'complete' and simply needing tabulated/finalized, or are those totals still running on Maoyan?
-
How often does http://piaofang.maoyan.com/ update for pre-sales data? Currently sitting at 125m for OD.

Amazing to think that it had such a stellar 2nd week. Glad to see the Indian box office making waves on hollywood movies. Lets hope this is indicative of better economic prospects for the Indian middle class.

Saturday presales are amazing high for IW, usually Sat PS only 50% of Fri, but IW Sat as huge as 66%+
Sounds like its starting to get spillover into additional days. That's incredible.
-
What holiday is Monday and how does that day fare vs. weekend #s? It would seem as if IW has a reasonable shot at $100m in South Korea.

Of the billion dollar OS movies (Titanic, Avatar, F7, F8, TFA, and JW), Infinity War has already captured 1st place in the following markets:
India
Indonesia
Philippines
Thailand
It is getting extremely close in the following countries, and should pass the record holder no later than this weekend:
Malaysia
Mexico
Singapore
It may have a lot more smaller territories, but I haven't seen confirmed numbers for places like Vietnam yet.

Wild thought, what if this makes more in China than domestic.
That is going to be very, very hard.
It's going to have to perform Wolf Warrior 2-style holds which are going to be next to impossible. But the movie is very, very good and the Chinese should enjoy the movie greatly so... Who knows.

Good for the effort, but please DO NOT exclude Titanic 3D run especially for china's number
Where would that total be available?
-
I hope others may enjoy this but:
I made an exhaustive list of country-by-country cumes for billion dollar international movies to chart where Infinity War ends up landing in the pantheon of massive OS movies:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vi2TAmvViyR_r5xW4xOqpmgSJBhM7jYkJg6fVfFUXIw/edit?usp=sharing
Each nation's totals are on the list (from what BOM has available), along with color coding to know which Hollywood movie has the crown in that country. I hope you enjoy the work. I am going to continue to update it as new totals come in. Thanks!

Its down less than 30% from last week. I wouldn't call that demand dropping.. That's an incredible hold for the Chinese market.
-
I wonder if this means Chinese theaters will start taking Indian movies more seriously? Incredible run for Dangal.

Thanks,I hate when people feel the need to rub it in people face that their movie not doing so hot.
Maybe if people didn't post daily updates, it wouldn't be made fun of.

I would imagine there are enough small markets to get it close to 1b internationally... but its going to be close. Japan should help it there though

Any rumors about Fridays sales in India?

June 13? Is that really needed? I'd imagine that its not going to make much money past May 13th.

Any forecasts for Sunday? Sounds like this may end up challenging F8 for the weekend worldwide crown between its Indian and US takes alone.
-
Can it break a billion overseas?
