  1. Can people stop with the accusatory claims that people just want to sh** on the DCEU? Maybe people simply got over-excited by the china numbers and were hoping for some break out stateside to liven up these forums.
  2. If I recall, Variety jot its numbers down to 140m for the weekend? If it can't nab the March record, Snyder is out for sure.
  3. This thread........ Well, atleast it won't ever be this bad for the rest of the year.
  4. Idk, was it necessary for you to quote my comment when it was clear who you were directing it to?
  5. It will certainly not make 170m. I think its going to have incredibly inflated Thursdays and Fridays, but drop like a stone mid weekend. Sunday drops look to be massive.
  6. At this point, people will take anyone over Snyder. Well except Uwe Boll and Josh Trank.
  7. Critic reviews were less prominent in those days, and WOM didn't spread as fast as it does now. Fant4stic is a movie that could have done okish to meh numbers before the age of social media. But even disregarding that, Forever made more money because it was a more fun movie. BvS seems to be closer to Returns in tone and atmosphere, which looks to appeal to a very specific audience if were putting it lightly.
  8. Infinity War fits in more to that grandiose section filmlover described with Harry Potter.
  9. People are less furious because this is a reboot, but rather how little respect studios seem to have for these classics as of late. Its all about taking a named brand and just putting a bunch of cliches on top of it.
  10. Just finished seeing this. Was laughing harder than with Deadpool.
  11. I've said something to the same nature to folks saying every film should be marketed with lots of secrecy like The Force Awakens. The main reason it was so effective for that film was because it was Starwars, and virtually everyone has some form of investment with it. The mystery added intrigue, whereas would make it hard to market something less popular that people aren't invested in or care about.
