HT2 is doing pretty good business here! Should have good legs since there is not any new animated movie til the Good Dinosaur and The Little Prince at the end of November! Hope The Martian has good legs, I think it will.

Actually HT2 opened today it's weird that they had it... the showing I went of HT2 was packed should do really solid business here, The Visit also opens here this weekend, I think it's going to do solid business. The Martian, The Intern and Snowpiercer (I guess in limited release) open next weekend.

Everest opened pretty well. HT2 and the visit should do solid business next week.

The trailer for the movie looks super Oscar bait, it's giving me Seven Pounds vibes... hope I'm wrong

It's amazing how this movie dropped from the 1st one even the OS total is really underwhelming.

Ted 2, Un gallo con mucho huevos and The 33 will battle for the top 3 this coming weekend

Sinisters 2 opens here in Mexico on september 4. This weekends the movies that are going to open are the local animated sequel "Un gallo con muchos huevos" who should take the number 1 spot , Hitman, She's funny that way and a horror movie called Demonic. Ohh and The 33 has some pre-shows on Sunday night. Next weekend should be more interesting with Ted 2 opening here...

The new release date might give this a better chance than in summer and avoid Pixels.

Looks good, Jake Gyllenhaal will surely be fantastic and the little girl looks to be doing a really really good job.

Yeah I remember when it was announced with Paltrow and Nicole Kidman? but I'm happy to see that they went with a man for the role. Does this has a distributor yet?

I think the movie is also performing well because of the nostalgia factor, the show is 16 years old, so lots of kids have grown with this show. SpongeBob is one of the few animated show left that can be popular enough to make good B.O. numbers. Maybe Disney should reconsider that Phineas and Ferb movie that got cancelled or CN could go with an Adventure Time movie.
