  1. Survivor Recruitment Tag-a-thon Since we’re at about the halfway point of the application phase, I have decided to do a second round of tagging forum users in order to drum up interest in playing Survivor: Mushroom Kingdom. Survivor: Mushroom Kingdom might be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play BOT Survivor with a Mario theme, so sign up even if you’re interested in Survivor but not in predicting box office, or vice versa, interested in predicting box office but not in Survivor. Thanks again! Here’s the form! @TalismanRing @TMP @JustLurking @datpepper @Nikostar @Jack Sparrow @35MM-18 @Boxofficerules @sonichedgehog12345 @yepowrr @mkostrzewa99 @Someone @Jayhawk the Hutt @Alex SciChannel @dylanmorris @A Star is Delayed @Menor Reborn @screambaby @GOGODanca @4815162342 @MrHardapple @Grebacio @Carlangonz @AJG @Kliib @sunsfan @filmlover @cookie @cooldude97 @Krissykins @etojorik @SpiderByte @Mickiland16 @Rageofthegods @nevermore @Ezen Baklattan @Pingy @Borobudur @Hiccup23 @TigerPaw @CJohn @grey ghost @AGlitchGnome @Olive @CaptainJackSparrow @ando @vafrow @ContestedMidrange @Purple Minion @Tinalera @JayPrimetown @TwoMisfits @YM! @Whippy927 @charlie Jatinder @simoimo19 @TheFlatLannister @ZackM @Kalo @ThomasNicole @TestPattern @efialtes76 @Flamengo81 @froztking @el sid @TPS1983 @RonaldMic568 @Unfitclock @dqvoodoo3661 @Heretic @katnisscinnaplex @Pinacolada @AdamKendall @Brainbug @George Parr @SWDF @Oopsie @deniima @Asyulus @Gokai Red @AN9815 @Shanks @Eric the Velocipastor @Cap @ZeeSoh @M37 @ChipDerby @lorddemaxus @DaltonCraig007 @Biggestgeekever @Deep Wang @RamblinRed @Ryan Reynolds @SchumacherFTW @marveldcfox @PanaMovie @Wrath @WrathOfHan @Giesi @stuart360 @Xavier @DTP @CrashBandicoot81 @CaptNathanBrittles @thajdikt @Ronin46 @Coldbird @fmpro @DAJK @Fancyarcher @Box Office Hit @Mojoguy @poweranimals @Flip @Favorite Fearless Legion @XXR of the Galaxy @Keanu @Sheikh @Claire of Themyscira @MCKillswitch123 @RobrtmanAStarWarsReference @Avatree @Rorschach @ThatWaluigiDude @MrPink @Sir Tiki @BadOlCatSylvester @Sophie @Mulder
  2. @CayomMagazine Studio Groundswell Release Date Shakeups - Sources have informed the writers of The Shell, the one about zombies attacking people at an oyster roast, that oyster season is actually winter rather than Summer, so Groundswell has taken that film off of its release schedule until further notice, so that they can reproach its filming as well as where to put it on the calendar. - The Unthinkable, the one about the child kidnapping, will likely not be produced because the executives do not want to risk exploiting that real-life situation. - Taco Tuesday has been dated for September 18th in observance of Hispanic Heritage Month. - Studio Groundswell is proud to announce Roxie, a live-action/animation hybrid film for family audiences as well as people who like action movies. Kathryn Newton stars as what the studio describes as a "punk-rock version of Tinker Bell," and the film tasks her with gathering together a hodgepodge of "freaks, geeks, and outcasts" to save the 'sacred tree' in which they call home. The film releases in IMAX on May 22nd. Cathy Yan (Birds of Prey) is attached as the director.
  3. Thank you to everyone who nominated me for Funniest User; that was a pleasant surprise that I didn't see coming. I guess I will continue being myself and providing people with good laughs. Here's a funny emoji: 😛. Here's another funny emoji: 🤪.
  4. You can vote by sending @Ezen Baklattan and @The Panda ballots via forum PM.
  5. I saw this yesterday. Kelsey Grammar is very good in this, and Jonathan Roumie plays a much different kind of person than his role as Jesus in The Chosen, so it shows that he has a lot of versatility and range as an actor. The whole ensemble does well here. I was very impressed by the cinematography of this film. These directors care about the imagery of their films. This is a good period piece as well with 70s sets, costumes, and even aesthetic film choices. The story could’ve been a little bit better though. I think the editing rushes through moments and some parts of it don’t hold attention as well as others. This film knows that most of the people watching it are already Christians; it’s message is about being more welcoming to those who are different from themselves, which is a message many Christians should consider during their walk. I give this film a B. If you choose to see it, you will be pleasantly surprised that it isn’t too preachy and also isn’t as schlocky as the God’s Not Dead’s of the world.
  6. BREAKING SURVIVOR NEWS Hello Survivors; today, I will share some news about the game including a change in the deadline. - Sunday, March 26th will be the Early Bird Deadline to apply, with Thursday, March 30th being the last day of the “grace period.” This is because I want every player to have time to predict a few films for the Dungeons & Dragons weekend if they want to use it as a practice round. That practice round may also be part of an optional twist (nothing game-breaking), and I will offer more information after the Early Bird Deadline. - I am hoping for an amount of players between at least 18 and 20 for this season. So far, six players have applied, though I’m not too worried because players weren’t signing up too quickly last time either. I will confirm that this game is free-to-play, so don’t worry about that 😂. - If I don’t have 18 players by the Early Bird deadline, then I might reach out directly to players who might want to play Survivor, because if you never ask then the answer is always ‘no.’ Well, this is if I panic about having enough players. Again, I will not cap the player count at any specific number so if players are still applying by March 30th, those players will still be able to join the game. - I did not confirm this before, but I am doing away with the final four “save one player” twist because it’s something that works well in the Survivor television show, but not in BOT Survivor. The final four round is now guaranteed to have a normal tribal council. - If you want to play but don’t want to go through the trouble of filling out the form, you can also send me a forum PM saying that you want to play this season. But I would prefer if players filled out the form because it will help me with sorting the tribes—so the form is more like a “survey” really. Thank you for considering joining the cast of Survivor: Mushroom Kingdom, and have a great day! 👍
  7. BREAKING NEWS Cayom Magazine has published this in error. Paul Mescal will in fact be staying as the lead in Providence, with Dylan O’Brien playing the supporting role. Taylor Russell still won’t return however, because of a mutual decision that she’s not quite right for the role, meaning Kiersey Clemons stays as her replacement.
  8. @CayomMagazine Studio Groundswell is ready to announce casting changes to James Wan’s sci-of thriller Providence. Paul Mescal and Taylor Russell, the lead actor and actress respectively, both had scheduling conflicts with the upcoming Tron: Firebrand, so Dylan O’Brien will play the lead while Kiersey Clemons replaces Russell. Jack O’Connell will then step in for the supporting role vacated by O’Brien’s promotion. Vera Farmiga is still attached.
  9. Studio Groundswell Celebrates Oscar Success After four game years of producing films under the "New Journey Pictures" banner, Studio Groundswell is pleased to congratulate its filmmakers for the Oscar nominations received during the inaugural year of its rebranding. Groundswell especially congratulates those involved in The Mirage, including director Fede Alvarez, Glen Powell, and Eva Green, as well as the filmmakers of The Crummy Shindig as well as its nominated stars Mike Faist, Lily James, and Brittany Snow. Studio Groundswell is now tied for second place for the highest number of nominations received by a studio during a single game year (that number being a whopping 33), and Groundswell is very happy to have achieved this. Groundswell also congratulates those involved in its other nominated films such as Mechamen, Tongue Tied, Kirby and the King's Caper, AeroMobil: The Future is Now, Bikini, and Devil Bean. Groundswell looks forward to an exciting Oscar ceremony and an exciting Y10!
  10. @CayomMagazine Studio Groundswell has acquired the distribution rights to an independent single-location thriller titled Taco Tuesday. Directed by Real Women Have Curves filmmaker Patricia Cardoso (who today directs episodes for various television shows), the film follows an undocumented teenager (Jenna Ortega) working at a supposedly "hidden-gem" Tex-Mex restaurant; she gets more than she bargained for when her manager (Raúl Castillo) publicizes a "Taco Tuesday" special that goes viral and generates massive crowds, putting stress on her job and even threatening her exposure.
  11. SLAM!: To celebrate the upcoming Academy Awards, we decided to ask Super Mario characters what their favorite Best Picture nominated films were. Mario: The Fabelmans! Let's-a-Spielberg! Luigi: I, uh, enjoyed The Banshees of Inisherin... But I was confused because I thought there were ghosts in it.... Peach: I found Women Talking thought-provoking. It had me thinking, "what if I walked out of the castle instead of waiting around for Mario to rescue me?" No offense to Mario. Daisy: Everything Everywhere All at Once! Hi-yah! Donkey Kong: Top Gun: Maverick, bay-beeeeeeee! Cool planes go zoom! Toad: I related to Triangle of Sadness as someone who serves Princess Peach. B-but don't tell her I said that! Wario: My favorite was Elvis! Colonel Tom Parker is the movie hero of the year! Waluigi: Waaa-haaaa! Don't forget about Lydia Tár in TÁR! Bowser: All Quiet on the Western Front... *sniffles* And I'm an overlord, and I have all these minions, and I send them out to battle, but at what cost? It really made me think... Yoshi: Avatar: The Way of Water because the setting reminded me of my island home. Ba-dum!
