- Zombie thriller The Shell has found a 'curveball' director choice in 99 Homes/The White Tiger director Ramin Bahrani, who happens to be from North Carolina, the state where the story is based. Bahrani is not only re-exploring NC but also taking a stab at the horror genre, which he has proven to possess the correct intensity for through the aforementioned thrillers.
- Gargoyle has replaced Aurora as Groundswell's Christmas Day release. Aurora will be released in Y11 instead. Groundswell wants a strong female director to helm and is still waiting for the right moment to finalize that choice.
- Groundswell has picked a title and director for the kidnapping thriller. The film is titled The Unthinkable and will be directed by The Hate U Give director George Tillman Jr.. Kylie Bunbury (Big Sky) and Lashana Lynch (The Woman King) will star as the cousins who search for and rescue the missing infant(s), while Dominique Thorne (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) will star in the transformative type-defying role of the young kidnapper.
