  1. @CayomMagazine Studio Groundswelll will release a new animated VeggieTales film called 12 Angry Veggies, where Archibald Asparagus is the lone juror trying to prove the possibility of a defendant’s innocence. All your favorite VeggieTales vegetables will appear in the film, and Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki are returning to direct. The film is being dumped into coming to theaters during Y10.
  2. @CayomMagazine Good box office has inspired Studio Groundswell to green-light Super Monkey Ball: Bananarama for Y11. Most of the cast returns for the sequel!
  3. @The Panda I have a question! What is the deadline for the shortlist ballots, and what is the deadline for the nomination ballots? Or do they have different deadlines this year?
  4. This was Regal's latest Monday Mystery Movie! My Regal had two showings of it and both had packed auditoriums. Good for them!
  5. Sorry for the delay; the player who’s handling actuals this year is waiting for a few more Y9 box office predictions from other players before posting the actuals. If you want to help speed things along, the best way to do that would be to post your own box office predictions into the thread below. Look at my predictions to see which films to predict as well as how you would go about it; let us know if you have any questions!
  6. It's coming to one of the multiplexes in my town. I figured that I might as well make a thread for it even if it's a really small release.
  7. More theaters than usual will get this, probably because Focus has the two-week deal.
  8. Picture Predictions (let’s have some fun) - Barbie - The Boys in the Boat (Clooney directing) - The Color Purple - Dune Part Two - Killers of the Flower Moon - Maestro - Napoleon - Oppenheimer - Reagan (catnip for older voters) - Wonka (zeitgeisty blockbuster?) Edit: If Ferrari makes it to a 2023 release it’ll be my replacement for Reagan
  9. Not sure about drama but there was lots of cuttthroat gameplay! Players were focused on getting out players who were threats from week 4 onward!
  10. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4873118/ "Follows Sergeant John, who on his last tour of duty in Afghanistan is teamed with local interpreter Ahmed, who risks his own life to carry an injured John across miles of grueling terrain to safety." Interesting that this will be released before Ritchie's Statham film, Operation Fortune... edit (Feb. 13th): Operation Fortune now releases about a month and a half before this one.
  11. Interesting release date. These are two of my favorite actors so I'm rooting for this to succeed. The title is very good because with the title "They Listen," the question becomes, "wait, who—or what—is "they?"" And I'm excited to find that out.
  12. Studio Groundswell News - Zombie thriller The Shell has found a 'curveball' director choice in 99 Homes/The White Tiger director Ramin Bahrani, who happens to be from North Carolina, the state where the story is based. Bahrani is not only re-exploring NC but also taking a stab at the horror genre, which he has proven to possess the correct intensity for through the aforementioned thrillers. - Gargoyle has replaced Aurora as Groundswell's Christmas Day release. Aurora will be released in Y11 instead. Groundswell wants a strong female director to helm and is still waiting for the right moment to finalize that choice. - Groundswell has picked a title and director for the kidnapping thriller. The film is titled The Unthinkable and will be directed by The Hate U Give director George Tillman Jr.. Kylie Bunbury (Big Sky) and Lashana Lynch (The Woman King) will star as the cousins who search for and rescue the missing infant(s), while Dominique Thorne (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) will star in the transformative type-defying role of the young kidnapper.
  13. @CayomMagazine Studio Groundswell has greenlit a "based on a true story" kidnapping thriller where two Indy cousins band together after a car is stolen from a gas station with two infant boys inside. Groundswell wants to base the script on an article (or two if possible). Groundswell is looking for an African-American director and African-American actresses to play the cousins and the kidnapper. Potential titles include The Unthinkable, Miracle, Cold Front, In the Cold, and others but hasn't decided on one. Groundswell wants to release the film in December.
  14. "A Chance Encounter and Mother's Intuition: How 2 Indy Women Helped Find Missing Ohio Twin" by Sarah Nelson "Infant Twin Kason Thomas Found; Suspect in Columbus Kidnapping Arrested in Indiana" by Cole Behrens and Ceili Doyle I'm not sure if I can base an adapted screenplay on two different articles, but they're both articles posted onto IndyStar.
  15. Maybe they’re all seeing the movie; no phones or internet use allowed in the theater!
