  1. And it's still reasonable. We just don't have solid data points and it's all open to interpretation right now. Over 200 openers are still pretty uncharted territory.
  2. I think I can see where you could call this the MCUs Empire Strikes Back. Not in terms of quality, but more in that in the long term how well this movie works, is dependant on part 2. I can at least commend it for being a complete story. My feelings may change if I go out and watch it again. Some of the set pieces are nice, Thanos is a great character. The ending is pretty good. I want to see part 2. So it's done it's job well enough.
  3. It's so weird. It's a film that somehow works despite itself. I don't know that I can call it a good movie. It's almost like a reverse CW, it's pieces somehow make a better whole than they should. Also, yeah, that ending was most obvious ending possible. I did like Wong going "your problem now, peace."
  4. Which is fucking sad. They could have a viable business strategy that will net them more money long term. But they'll crash and burn, and Theaters will start introducing their own models afterwards, probably charging 15-20 dollars a month.
  5. At least you can still like posts in the weekend thread. Also, I am sorry you were threadbanned.
  6. Seems to me, if they treated Moviepass more as free movie passes put out by theaters (where it excludes new releases) they could at least argue that these aren't seats the theaters showing 2/3+ week old movies are selling on their own, so it's an incentive to get more people in and buy concessions. Then with moviepass you put out special deals on concession items, enticing the customers to bring in these coupons to buy large popcorn, or what not. Now I admit I don't know much about the business of running theaters, but this seems a far better strategy than Moviepass acting all big to theaters claiming they bring in so much business, then severely limiting the amount the customer can actually go to the theater.
  7. It was just 5 minutes ago, after it forced an update, so...dunno.
  8. I have a million snarky comments I'd love to respond with. So I'll pick this one:
  9. I just opened my app, and a screen popped up going "Once! You can only see it once!" (Well, I may be paraphrasing their legal-ez)
  10. This reminds me about when I thought I received unjust warning points. I was upset, then just moved on.
  11. It's telling me I am not permitted to see the same movie more than once in theaters.
  12. Aw Moviepass. At least the good news is, you're helping to create a template on how not to do this, so in ten years, we can get a better deal.
