  1. Ridley needs Best Director for this. If this shit is seemless when this comes out the 22nd, I don't give a fuck, best editing/best director for this movie.
  2. And it's thanks to Flash that Atlas became Marvel, and started churning out new Super Heroes. And while Stan Lee unabashedly took ideas from DC, he did provide a more mature look for comics at the time, while DC was embracing the "Silver Age" weirdness. It's funny to think how the 60s nearly killed the Batman though, and he was pretty much saved by Adam West, while his book floundered. And while Supes, Bats, and Wondy kept their title features, DC did keep Detective and Action running, and while we tend to think of them as just a Bat/Supes book by another name, they were anthology books, and characters like Green Arrow, and Aquaman rode out the Golden Age into the Silver in Action. Flash is in part one of the most important characters for DC, he is a herald of change, and He brings with him great change, the Silver Age, Event Comics, Flashpoint, Rebirth
  3. Eh...it's good, very watchable, but not much sticks out in my mind nearly a year later. Should watch it again now that I think about it.
  4. Aw, well, not really also. Hemsworth stole the show. (Though I think I preferred McKinnon more.)
  5. Not really. I liked it, solid enough, but not really great. Hemsworth was easily the best part.
  6. I have the distinct feeling very little of importance has been said for the last few pages. My question is why did I actually read it.
  7. (Timely started in 1939. Then in the 50s kind of became Atlas. Marvel branding started in 1961) I specifically said 60s because that is when Marvel as we know it really began, and outside of a very few handful of characters, none made it over from Timely (or Atlas). But in the end the point still stands, they've been ripping each other off for generations now.
  8. Moving over. To point out, I said, WB, not DC. Marvel and DC have been stealing from each other since the 60s. This is nothing new. I'm mocking WB for not using any other kind of JL story for their premier JL movie instead of using one that bares similarities to the movie Marvel is about to put out.
  9. I love Zatanna, and to think not even near the the top tier magicians in the DC. Though if I was Supes I'd be more afraid of Constantine. He'll do more with less.
  10. Seriously. What is Campea's obsession with this? Is he a producer on the movie?
  11. I mean, I get what he means, but it's so kind of wrong to say Scott Pilgrim or Edge of Tomorrow aren't adaptations. (And I guess calling Edge of Tomorrow a Video game movie seems weird.)
  12. If I'm paying for a 16.60 to watch a movie, I don't want a mediocre made for TV short I was never going to watch if it was on TV. I don't want 20+ minutes of bland television before my movie.
  13. To point out, there is a difference between multiple 3-4 minute ads, and a 20 minute mediocre short.
  14. *looks at Kennedy firing directors in the middle of production* Huh...That's certainly an apt analogy.
  15. The nerd in me wants to point out that Dr. Strange is very much a match for Superman. (Magic being very explicitly one of Supes big weaknesses) and only a faux fan boy would be so blind. (Fate would destroy Supes.) That not nerd in me is long dead.
  16. Finally saw the Frozen short. It's insane that's upfront of this movie. What would have been a cute 20 minutes of tv is now a forgettable slog to a truly excellent film. Saw Coco a second time, and while no heavy sobs, I did find myself tearing up at other parts of the movie, knowing the full context of these actions.
  17. It may not be his best, but it's still better than...um...Topaz. And Sabatuer... Ok, fine. Not his best, I can admit that. But still take it over most other movies
