  1. Well, good to know that if a movie is "girly" It is "lame". Also good to know I've been lame my entire life, so I can just enjoy anything I want.
  2. Always felt like, as an outsider, the EU was too afraid to stray from Luke, Leia or Han.
  3. wasn't that the series that killed a lot of the EU original characters?
  4. Hey, I've only seen it 15 times. And that was only Monday.
  5. It was. Only EU books I owned till I was an adult. Make no sense in any EU Canon though
  6. Hm? Don't think I was around for that. I remember early this year when the title wasn't being updated, a lot of the more vocal posters were screaming about how their movie wasn't getting the attention it deserved.
  7. My joke was that Passengers and AC aren't adult friendly. (Those were currently their RT scores respectively.)
  8. Point. But they aren't really adult friendly either.
  9. Not really. There was no way you could have made Episode VII otherwise. And useless to pretend if Lucas had made VII we'd have any different result.
  10. I think it'll have less, but it's probably more appealing than Passengers or AC for a film to go see if you don't want to watch RO again.
  11. These two points I'll disagree with. I'm one of the bigger proponents of Animation is just as good as any live action film. That being said, Animation, by the critic, is clearly being held to a higher standard than any live action film. The fact of the matter is, if Sing was live action, it’d be a perfectly ok Christmas holiday film that would appeal to children and adults as something non-offensive and enjoyable two hours. Since it’s animated, it has to become like Pixar, or it’s lowering standards. Sing isn’t incomplete. It’s light, it’s fluffy. Not everything NEEDS to be art. Sometimes entertainment is just fine. We don’t have to give our children art in everything they watch. It isn’t lowering standards or destroying anything elses potential quality when a movie is just entertainment and not art.
  12. I was thinking in comparison to Zootopia. I really do keep forgetting Dory came out this year. There isn't much more to Sing than what's on the surface, it's fun and entertaining, but definitely that's all it is. And it isn't trying to be anything more either. I like Sing, it was fun, it certainly has stuck with me more than Dory. It's cotton candy.
  13. It's the thing we can kind of forget, the GA don't always want deep and meaningful, sometimes they want light and fluffy colors for two hours of enjoyment, especially on, say, a holiday like Christmas. Sing looks stupid and shallow, because it kind of is, but it's fun, and has more heart than it probably has a right to.
  14. Sing? Yeah, I think it'll be big, have strong WOM. It's a feel good crowd pleaser, and better than everything else out this week. It makes a good counter balance to a darker film like RO, and better Christmas watching.
  15. Sing will still make 100M opening weekend.
  16. I'm still figuring this out...and I meant 14.5M to 14.7M. feel free to laugh.
  17. Been here almost a year, so finally feel more comfortable doing charts and stuff... I'm thinking it'll be a softer drop today. 14.5, maybe as high as 14.7.
  18. A character from MCU, and a joke from when Marvel people got really pissed at the mods.
