When will be the major announcement made? Like stuff related to future dc plans and all.
Not sure, they have 4 movies releasing next year so If they’re doing a hard reboot then I’d assume it wouldn’t be announced till late 2023, if they’re soft rebooting and are using the Flash for that and just keep some actors then they should do a huge presentation at SDCC for future plans.

So he is talking about rebooted supes right?
I don’t know, I would guess if Superman is a major priority they’d probably have it figured out fast if Cavill is staying or going.

Just for anyone not in the man of steel 2 thread. Some comments from Gunn today.
And most importantly

Honestly The previous admin truly overestimated the affinity people have for Keaton’s Batman.- 1

So the wraps storey basically said Jenkins didn’t want to take any notes and wouldn’t change anything, and definitely didn’t want input from Gunn and Safran, disappointing to hear that (if it’s true). Best of luck to her in the future, I hope they find a new female director for the next instalment of Wonder Woman.

This is interesting,
“
On the other hand, we hear that WME-repped Flash director Andy Muschietti and Indiana Jones director James Mangold are excited to do business with the Gunn-Safran led studio.

"However, we’re hearing that Jenkins was given the chance to take another stab at a Wonder Woman 3 treatment after receiving notes from all Warner Bros. motion picture brass (it wasn’t just Gunn and Safran’s decision). There were concerns about character arcs and payoffs, and the threequel emulating similar structural problems ala Wonder Woman 1984. She decided to take her toys and go home. The studio would like to do another Wonder Woman, however, the question is will Gal Gadot do it sans Jenkins."
Well that answers that about Jenkins.
I think Gadot would do another movie without Jenkins. We’ll see what happens.

Is James Gunn a mole from Marvel sent to ruin DC? These decisions don't make sense
What decisions? Cause the only thing we know right now is Wonder Woman 3 isn’t happening in its current incarnation, maybe they have her write another script that fits into their plans. We have no idea what’s happening yet.

So let's give the helm to a guy who already proven to make awful decisions and just produced an epic bomb lol DC is a joke atm
No, you’re giving the helm to a guy who understands not only how the movie business works and how big blockbusters are made but someone who’s a lifelong comic book fan who understands the genre probably better than anyone else they could get.
Not sure what awful decisions he makes, everything he’s touched in the comic book world has been received pretty well critically. Sure the Suicide squad lost money but there’s a ton more factors that go into that then just blaming any decision he’s made for that.

I have to ask, as I have no idea about legal things, but, if true, can Cavill and Seven Bucks go to court over this?
But it sure feels like they were gaslighted.
He probably only signed a one picture deal for the cameo.

I'm sorry. Just trying to vent my frustrations. I just want to see Superman fly in a movie again (Super Pets was nice, but no cigar), and I'm so annoyed that we have to wait again.
I know lol , that’s my biggest worry from
all of this but I have faith that Gunn knows how important Superman is. Reboot or whatever, just give me a Superman movie

What sense would it even make to drop Jason Momoa as his most iconic role, just to cast him as a lesser DC character in a lazy bit of fan casting?
Apparently he loves Lobo and owns all his comics.

Guess they’re gonna do some sort of a reboot but that would mean no more peacemaker or his wife’s character? Maybe it’s a soft reboot of the JL to fully get away from Snyder’s movies. Either way I trust Gunn.

Not surprised, if they want an interconnected universe it needs to start somewhere. You can’t just keep making movies as one offs if that’s not the path you want for your IP.
Will be interesting to see if they are rebooting or what.

It is funny to see how many people are trying to spin this as flop. It is neither flop or big box office hit. Through ancillary revenues, it has achieved some profit.
I’m not sure if it will actually make anything but it’s not a massive flop or anything.
It did fine where it released, they obviously were expecting a China and Russia release and never got it. With that said The Rock didn’t need to make that post but I know how important this movie was to him so I’m not surprised to see, though I understand why people are laughing and cringing.

If you haven't been following the Deadline BO weekend updates recently: Deadline Anthony has been suspiciously trying to spin this films BO performance and now it's all culminated with this insane article (with a quote from one the films producers and everything). This guy is pulling shit out of his ass.

It’s a better release date either way, who cares if it moved away from something? It was a smart move.

Worldwide?
Ya, I think it has a chance to break out more if it’s really as good as some are saying. I think flash is more popular than people think. Even though the CW isn’t huge the flash show is also on Netflix and a lot of people watch it.
We’ll see what happens but I have a good feeling about all the DC movies next year critically at least, let’s see how that translates to the box office.

I’d be pretty surprised if this didn’t make at least 500-550m if not more. Lot of competition either way though.

The Warner Bros. Thread | Will NOT merge with Paramount...capitalism is still terrible

Ya I would guess things would have to start going into motion early next year cause they need movies for the slate for 2024. It will be interesting to see when they announce stuff. I don’t think a hard reboot is coming, he loves specific actors he’s already worked with like Robbie and Cena and the characters they play so I think the flash is probably where there’s a soft reboot.
