As @Olive already mentioned, Ice Age 5's first week attracted 1,233,000 viewers in France. http://www.cine-directors.net/boxoff.htm It is not a bad score, but well below expectations. I don't think it will have a much more serious impact than the one in Paris, except for Nice itself of course. It sounds strange to say, but French people somehow get "accustomed" by these tragedies now. - Extreme heat (35 - 40 degrees) everywhere in France. - Lassitude from the audience. This is I believe the main reason. Ice Age 5 doesn't appeal to people as much as before.

It is really amazing how late the release of Zootopia is for Turkey. I wonder why Disney decided this. By the way, I like your new avatar @Jason . It seems that we will have two Judy now! (who is the real one lol)

I just had a glance today at the international market for Zootopia on Box Office Mojo: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=intl&id=disney2016.htm And I noticed that the total gross for France dropped from $36,020,605 a few weeks ago to... $31,776,000 today (!!) How is that even possible lol? It is more than $4.2 million drop!

I... I have really no idea ^^'. It is even hard for me to accept that Zootopia can reach $80M. But as you mentioned before, it is amazing how word of mouth can be powerful. I have this feeling that word of mouth works better in Asian countries like South Korea, Japan, China, than in Western countries, especially in Europe. My jaw literally dropped when I read that Zotoopia skyrocketed 2 weeks after its launch in Japan, considering that it started in the 2nd place. As @yjs said, they can go batshit crazy lol.

@LMAbacus Before my calculation, I expected the admission to be above 5M (assuming that the price range of a ticket is 8 to $9). Well, I must admit Zootopia is doing really well, so the number will continue to grow a lot. My prediction was $80M, so it will give something like 6.2M entries.

Thanks a lot @Jason So if around 63% give 2.192.852 entries, 100% of all the theaters would "theoretically" give around 3.480.717 entries, according to my rule of three calculation (of course I can be completely wrong, I am an amateur ^^). To go a bit further, the price of a cinema ticket would be $44.592.269/3.480.717 = ~$12.8. I won't diminish the performance of Zootopia in Japan but if the number is currently around 3.5M entries, I am not really impressed..

Good man. You didn't succumb to the temptation of the streaming! Two days ago, a downloadable HD version was (unfortunately) released online so my fellow countrymen who didn't buy the cinema ticket jumped on the opportunity to download the movie. (How irritating really ). Anyway, I am glad you enjoyed it! @LMAbacus The movie is still showing but mainly in Paris and the suburbs. It is probably still showing in the very large cities such as Lyon but I am not 100% sure. When I think about it, Zootopia was released here on the 17th of February, that's crazy.

I am really impressed by the high predictions. The movie was released a month ago, so I will go for $80 million for Japan. It is hard for me to imagine a movie making three times the score it is currently making ($42.8M) in the months to come.

As long as they decide to make a new one, I am fine to wait for years.

I am in the same train with you for this. There are many great animation movies I really love, such as Kung Fu Panda, Monster Inc, Tout en Haut du Monde, etc. But Zootopia was really a killer. Since I saw it at the end of January that, I think of this movie everyday! Which movie of Miyazaki did you like? My favorite is Spirited Away, a masterpiece.
