  3. jan 27 feb 23 mar 31 apr 18 may 19 jun 26 jul 19 aug 26 sep 1 (thus far) something like that
  4. THE MOON set to be second biggest Korean import of all time. Yesterday at around 194k admits, should cruise past The Childe (236k admits). It won't come close to Parasite though (nearly 700k admits).
  5. complete dailies/cumes $326k/326k $337k/663k $375k/1.04M $701k/1.74M $563k/2.30M
  6. This was Suzzanna: Bernapas Dalam Kubur back in 2018. I was discussing the possibility of 2023's Suzzzanna: Malam Jumat Kliwon to maybe coming close to this number. At the moment cannot be certain, but it will be one the highest local film OD in 2023.
  7. import trackings as of 01/08/23 Barbie $$4.52M 1.41M admits Oppenheimer $3.31M 1.03M admits Dead Reckoning 1 $7.45M 2.34M admits Insidious 5 $5.61M 1.76M admits Hidden Strike $1.22M 382K admits Haunted Mansion $218K 68K admits (gone soon) Detective Conan Black Iron $160K 50K admits Doraemon $418K 130K admits
  8. Actually, no. Barbie was always given more screens, and larger ones, too. In terms of occupancy, Oppenheimer is always higher.
  9. Very cautious OD tracking Barbie $451K Oppenheimer $320K Doraemon $55K People snoring in Oppenheimer shows reported. Parental walkouts during Barbie also reported. We'll see how WOM works out for these two. Bear in mind that yesterday was a public holiday.
  10. A totally bonkers day in Indonesian cinemas today. EVERYTHING was devoured. I *DO* however heard some alarming (admittedly fully expected) reports about Barbenheimer. So am not taking this day for granted.
  11. Both Insidious 5 and MI7 still have very strong occupancy so given first priority. Exhibitors waiting for general audience reaction: - Barbie regarding those strong messages about existentialism and patriarchy - Oppenheimer which we all know is, after all, a talky 3-hour adult historical drama If all goes well today for Barbenheimer, showtimes will definitely be added tomorrow and into the weekend
  12. Indonesian exhibitors take *very* cautious approach for Barbenheimer (Having seen both films, I fully understand their line of reasoning) Will massively adjust my expectations for both early look at showtime distribution today (will have another look after lunch) 1. INSIDIOUS THE RED DOOR 30% 2. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - DEAD RECKONING - PART ONE 20% 3. BARBIE 19% 4. OPPENHEIMER 14% 5. HIDDEN STRIKE 7% 6. DORAEMON THE MOVIE: NOBITA'S SKY UTOPIA 6%
  13. All IMAX shows in Jakarta, Indonesia sold out until Sunday. And the movie itself was WOWWWWW (saw it last night)
  14. I don't know, I'm not spoiler-sensitive. In fact I actively look for it to help with box office predictions.
  15. Saw it last night, and still can't figure out what will be general audience reaction when they see what it is all about. But $300M global opening is on the way, anyway ...
  16. Most will go to Barbie. Oppie presale out of IMAX not that great.
  17. At the moment only seeing $3M for Barbie and $1.8M for Oppie. Let's see how it goes come OD.
