MOS is a solid CBM. ASM2 is just okay, not as bad as everyone makes out. The Avengers IS as good as everyone makes out and isn't overrated in any way. The first Thor movie is fine but yeah The Dark World is pretty awful.

There are times in Covenant where someones been ripped to shreds in the worst way and everyone kind of continues as if someones just gone home early drunk lol. Like, theres never time for the characters or you as a viewer to really soak in what the fucks just happened.

My main issue with this and Prometheus is how convoluted and unnecessarily philosophical it is. I spent most of this movie like... I was entertained though. The gore and aliens were everything.

I was bored from start to finish lol. It wasn't even bad in a tongue in cheek 90's nostalgia kind of way it was just poor. I didn't know what was going on for most of it lol. Not really sure what I expected considering the source material. They should have just gone all out on the cheese and parodied themselves a la' Lego Movie. Big big turd.

So I just saw this... the scenes involving Kong are awesome. The way they choreograph the fights is impressive and the movie looks fucking great in IMAX. There's one scene with Kong at night and his eyes are all pearly blue and i was shook. Having said that Tom Hiddleston... my lord. So bad. Larson is barely better. The only characters I enjoyed were Sam L and a couple of his younger soldiers. I've never known a movie have so many irrelevant characters lmao. It's basically just a massive visual effect jerk fest but it serves its purpose as blockbuster popcorn entertainment. Godzilla remains the superior monster movie doe

Truly one of the best cinema experiences ive ever had. Feel so uplifted. Cant fault it on any level i hope it wins best picture. Anyone calling it "trash" doesn't deserve the capacity to form an opinion lol.

I wouldn't disagree actually. Didn't think of her. Jlaw hasn't really chosen films to fully milk her star power though, has she? I mean Joy, American Hustle, Silver Linings... theyre all oscar bait with limited appeal compared to ghostbusters, the heat, lucy... And those films are marketed differently at certain audiences. I can guarantee if melissa mccarthy fronted a serious biopic it'd flounder as much as any other. Jlaw could carry an action, rom com or thriller if she wanted. I think people are doing her a disservice.

Jennifer Lawrence is a draw whether you like it or not lol. However Passengers does box office wise would have done worse if she hadn't been in it. Theres few actresses working today that have as much weight behind their name as her (maybe scar jo, emma stone). And Chris Pratt even more so.

The general audience dont look into it that deeply. If a film looks fun people will see it and the marketing for SS was brilliant

I honestly loved the 2014 Godzilla (bar Aaron Taylor boreson) so anything in a similar vein excites me a lot. Plus the talent in this movie is pretty gold standard
