Does anyone know how Coco did in UK this weekend? I was hoping it would break out during half term since it's kind of been underperforming in English-speaking territories.
Oh and as for the ER in LA... so far we only have Argentina to analyze, but FD's opening weekend was 94% of Nemo's entire run there. If that's any indication, it'll be massive in LA.
Those are just two countries (granted, France is significant because it brought in 64M of Nemo)... and Pets opening huge in the UK just makes me believe Dory will be even bigger. Any who, we'll see in a few weeks when it rolls out to its bigger overseas markets. You're also not taking into consideration that Nemo made around 4.3M in China and Dory is already at 30.2M.
If you compare the opening weekends of FN to FD available on BOM, FD opened bigger in most of the directly comparable ones. The notable exception is France where BOM says FD opened to 500k but FN opened to 13M?
EDIT: Not sure why BOM shows 500k opening, but just read the 4.5M opening in France for this weekend. Still pretty bad compared to Nemo's opening there.
Zootopia added another 3.69M overseas this past week, and 1.5M domestic. New total of 1,016,574,809. It should, at the very least pass the Hobbit in about two weeks.
Looks like Finding Dory actually helped Zootopia domestically. It rose 89% from last week for $310,023. That's almost on par with what Jungle Book made yesterday. Bodes well for its rise up the all time list.
