It's very much a movie that needed strong reviews and buzz to break out of its niche, (which it doesn't have) and opening right between Dune/Dispatch and Eternals isn't going to do it any favors.

True, but give it Heights' IM and that barely puts it over $9m. I do think it has a higher Thursday share of its Friday (the Thursday opening wasn't well promoted for Heights) but also lower drops on Saturday.
