  1. The revisionist history some of you have... The "scrambling around" was because Snyder's daughter had passed away and they needed to plug someone in to finish the movie. Problem is they picked a polar fucking opposite director who decided to tinker with the action sequences and throw in potty humor and shots of Wonder Woman's ass.. But the part about nobody caring to see it... that's true. I Redbox'd that trash.
  2. Wrong. BvS made the money it needed to. Justice League was doomed once Snyder had to leave the production. It turned into a blend of his stlye and Whedon's... and nobody was going to be happy with that. The only thing that would have made me happy is if they never brought Whedon in the first place. He's a hack.
  3. Reviews were wrong per the usual in recent times. Too many bloggers unfit of critiquing movies, masquerading as experts in film. Venom was enjoyable and Hardy was very entertaining. It's not a perfect movie but the people comparing it to Catwoman, it was just for clicks.
  4. Can't Sony use Spider-Man if they want to? I haven't read any reviews on Venom. I don't think it's possible for reviewers to be fair and balanced with comic book movies anymore so I will just go see it sometime this weekend with some buddies and pray that it's entertaining.
  5. I don't see what's funny about it.. actually I do. The Last Boy Scout is fucking hilarious and the last time Shane Black wrote anything that was funny.
  6. They were okay. Iron Man 3 is not decent, it's pretty bad. The Last Boy Scout is better than all of that by a mile.
  7. And WB did it with 3 completely different genres. Well done.
  8. I'm glad for it. They aren't always great but we need more variety in movies especially after the Disney/FOX deal
  9. It doesn't help that there's no reviews on RT right now. Usually that wouldn't concern me but you'd think a movie like Mile 22 would want to get good word out if it's a good movie...
  10. Good. Blood is in the water. And it's not The Meg that is wounded. It's the terrible folks who wanted to sink it. 🤣
  11. For me The Meg comes off as a fun blockbuster summer flick, a good time at the movies. Christopher Robin came off like a pretentious piece of Disney trash. So I'm happy it took a pooh.
  12. Funny enough this dude at work is HYPED for The Meg. I don't see it but maybe we'll go if the weather is crap. I'm contemplating just seeing M:I for a second time. We saw it in Imax so I'm not sure I'd want to see it on a reg screen now.
  13. They are for a movie that is this easy to produce. This should have been Incredibles numbers on RT. Instead it's horror remake territory.
  14. wow did not expect this to flop and have such shitty reviews. Disney fucked up another "can't miss" project.
  15. To be a strict fan of one corporation and a strict naysayer of another corporation is among the reasons why this country is shit. Not one single person in any of these threads is seeing a red cent from any of these properties.
  16. I hope not. I don't want Ant-Man to be "Stark'd" either. I love the cast. They aren't great movies but they're really fun and I'd say maybe the most reliable outside of Captain America franchise. I wouldn't want any drastic changes to it. For the record, I liked Ragnorak well enough but I didn't really care for the first two Thors to begin with because of the earth stuff. If Natalie Portman would have been written out it would have made those movies a hundred times better.
  17. Ants have short legs. It's tough to see Ant-Man go out like this. I enjoyed it. There probably won't be a 3rd now.
  18. Ant-Man and the Wasp was pretty awesome. I want to see more Marvel solo projects and less team up stuff at this point.
  19. If Skyscraper was rated R I would have contemplated going. But at PG-13 and looking ridiculous, I wouldn't think it's my thing.
