You know, at first I didn't think Ruffalo's participation had anything to do with the movie's success. But then I noticed a bunch of adolescents and teens in the audience, even though this movie isn't geared toward them. So, yes, there's a reason outside of it being a good film that its drops have been the envy of moviedom, and I believe that the Avengers effect is the biggest part of it.

Actually MOS has wonderful depth. The man of two worlds struggling to find his place in the universe, realizing that he belongs in both places, and that for a superlative reason, proffered a profound angle to the age-old theme of what a person decides to do with the cards dealt him. Unfortunately, the pacing of the film is so bad that it forces the audience to speed over that depth at 60 knots, and come to a hard stop at the action. Shame that.

LOL, the number of times he repeated that line reminded me of an episode of SpongeBob Squarepants where Plankton created an alternate reality in which he owned the Krusty Krab and Mr. Krabs was trying to steal the secret recipe. After a failed attempt Krabs backed out of the restaurant threatening that he would be back the next day..."and the next day...and the next day...and the next day...and the next day..." I LOLed. Now back to our thread.
