I have no nostalgia for previous Spider-Man movies (I barely remember them, to be honest), and I enjoyed No Way Home more than most movies I've watched in the past few years. If you don't like it doesn't mean it's horrible or has no emotional weight. Peter's only relative dying or him being forgotten by everyone who knew him and loved him is plenty emotional.

Pretty much this. My friend says that a lot of people in China were pretty hyped for TFA, but they left the theater baffled and disappointed, because it wasn't at all like the prequels: very few lightsaber fights, a boring western setting that didn't feel futuristic at all. Basically "not my Star Wars" type of reaction, which explains the huge drop from TFA to TLJ.

I have a lot of Chinese friends, and they say that original Star Wars aren't popular in China at all, so the sequel trilogy's being a copy-paste of the OT actually hurt it in China, where people were introduced to Star Wars through the prequels (which did pretty well for their time and later were pirated a lot).

Heh, I guess a lot of people went to see this with really low expectations. Funny.

Went to see not expecting it to be any good, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's not a piece of art and quite predictable, but it's a pretty entertaining movie to pass time. After seeing the pretentious and terrible mother!, this even felt like a breath of fresh air. 😃

Likely. I think it's pretty safe to say a good portion of those 31% is Styles' fanbase (most likely young women that dragged their boyfriends to see it). Dunkirk is hardly the typical movie your average under-25 demographic would be interested in. There are always exceptions, of course, but that percentage is certainly unusual for a foreign war movie without any romantic subplot. But women-over-25 demographic is as likely to be attracted by Styles' presence in the cast. He's not much younger than 25 himself, after all. Either way, it's good for Dunkirk. And after watching the movie today, I'd say Nolan did a brilliant job casting the lad. Styles can certainly act. His acting was a pleasant surprise for me, along with Tom GC's. But have to say I was rather disappointed with the lead's acting.

Some people here are... clueless. You only have to check the Dunkirk tag on Twitter to see that most of tweets concerning Dunkirk are about Harry Styles. His massive fanbase and name recognition will certainly influence the box office, directly AND indirectly. It's undeniable. So I do expect this to be a little more frontloaded than usual. But then again, I've seen a lot of tweets from Harry fans on Twitter saying that they'll see the movie multiple times.

That's very good news for Dunkirk.

I have to say BatB has exceeded my expectations so far (and they were pretty high to begin with). Another huge success for Disney. I'm glad for Emma, too. It's about time she did a worldwide successful movie that isn't HP.
