  1. I think I know which film you’re talking about as you’re in my club for that one and there’s no other major release with level of presales to be leery of.
  2. Forgot to respond but the joke was the Minions are still working for evil as they work for the CIA.
  3. Quick and Dirty SE Wisconsin Update: Inside Out 2 jumped to 72 tickets on T-7 days. It’s showing nice increases but I’m still concern with little momentum at Menomonee which is like the fifth biggest theater in the state but Menomonee tends to be pretty walkup based. Rn it’s about 6x Garfield’s T-6 without EA and already at 65% of IF’s T-6 hours. I think so long as reviews are good, feeling 10m previews could be a possibility but still thinking the previews/OW range is 7M-8.5M/75-85m. Majestic is also doing the first CINIFY screening for it in the PLF which to my understanding is 4K. Bad Boys Ride or Die finished with 307 tickets at T-7 hours and with EA that’s about 464 tickets sold. It’s 135% ahead of Furiosa with EA and 56% ahead of Furiosa without. So I’m guessing $5.5M previews +/- $0.5M.
  4. Yeah was a bit concerned about it meeting Wish or even what the best comparisons of Garfield and IF was but tbh 100% honest, I think the Funko events took away the demand here and the rest is just walkups. Also think with Wish being a discount Tuesday thing I imagine it would’ve overindexed walkup wise.
  5. I remembered it was like 77-78% for a minute. Guessing a few more reviews over the year bumped it up, but yeah that’s the range I’m thinking.
  6. I noticed that too for SE Wisconsin - 250 tickets for the events on Saturday vs 57 tickets total
  7. Was always feeling MU/Lightyear reviews as those where in the mid 70s on RT felt about right for it.
  8. Quick and Dirty SE Wisconsin Sample Update: Inside Out 2 at T-9 is showing the momentum I was referring to jumping 50% from the T-12 total of 38 to 57. That’s pretty good for a kids movie but only one theater has been flat. PLF is the preferred format for IO2. With our data so far, thinking around $7-8.5m previews for this one. Bad Boys Ride or Die on T-2 is massively overindexing in SE Wisconsin which makes sense due to close proximity to Milwaukee with 199 tickets sold and 356 tickets with EA. Only soft theater is North Shore but that theater skews the less diverse. 2D and PLF show a decent share without EA and is looking about 36% ahead of Furiosa which would put it about 4.8M previews but doesn’t have the same PLF skew as Furiosa. I feel really good about 5m previews, maybe even 5.5-6m. The Watchers looks like a nonstarter with only 17 tickets and five screens across four theaters. Previews start at 11 am for Majeetic for some reason. Around O/U 1M previews is my guess.
  9. Dude hasn’t made a good film since Winnie The Pooh and at best that was a 3.5/5.
  10. I actually like MoM and think Wanda’s decisions make sense but it’s script failed both Stephen and Strange good character arcs and is largely saved by the fun action sequences and Raimi’s sense of direction. I get why Levy as he’s easy to work with and I assume like Deadpool and Wolverine he’ll do what Feige says and they are clearly confident in the project but he’s so boring.
  11. Is DM4 opening on a Tuesday night or just doing a five day?
  12. I don’t think Feige would let Peele make a Peele movie. I also don’t buy that’s it’s true because of the InSneider
  13. Hey all, I hope all is well. June has just started and it’s been a while since Y10 has been active outside of Magazine updates and was just curious where everyone is at currently.
  14. Wait - they didn’t use The Last Dance for the trailer song - huge missed opportunity.
  15. Neither Deadpool nor Joker even touches TDK as there’s been far better MCU/Marvel and DC movies and the Venoms don’t go as low as Catwoman or even the other SonyVerse movies because they’re actually fun movies and care full heartedly about the goofy ass stories they are doing. Not denying that technically both Joker and Deadpool are better movies and will both probably get better critical and audience reception but for me; there’s so much that can go wrong for me for both Joker 2 and Deadpool and Wolverine where I’d be mixed or disappointed with the results - Venom 3 just needs to be a fun time and that’s enough for me.
  16. I don’t fuck with either Morbius or Madame Web. Why are you getting mad I enjoy the Venom movies. They’re not high art but they’re fun times.
  17. Tbh I think with SUoMC floundering outside of Venom can easily see Sony just agreeing to work with Marvel on live action and just doing animated movies and TV shows.
  18. I’ve said before I’m no fan of Joker as it is a pretty boring analysis of the character and themes at play only bolstered by Phoenix’s performance and tbh Deadpool were solid 3/5s and I don’t really trust Levy to execute 3 well. I’m vaguely interested in both due to added elements (musical for Joker and Wolverine for DP). Venom is the only one I’m certain will be good.
  19. Venom Horse ❤️ Venom dancing with Mrs. Chen ❤️ The only actual LGBTQ romance in a tentpole ❤️
