  1. Cool. Go broke or pay your fucking writers and actors fairly. You might lose a useless executive or two for streaming lies. Little Cornelius and Ambrosia can always do their vacation to the Bahamas next year, or buy another yacht next year.
  2. An official synopsis has been revealed and released for the presses: “Taking place 3½ years after Gateways, Bailee (McKenna Grace) and her newfound family are living their best life on Earth A-89 but Bailee feels unfulfilled wanting to do more to help the multiverse. Things escalate, when Zenith (Samuel L. Jackson), the last survivor of Levi’s old universe where Levi (Donald Glover) was deitized, wants revenge and has begun conquering universes. The family teams up with the Altan Empire - a select faction of the best universes aiming to help every universe and in direct odds fighting Zenith. However, as the conflict escalates when Bailee makes a tool that can change the outcome of the conflict, Bailee must face her future and Levi must come to terms with his past, both daughter and father must risk it all to bring peace to the multiverse. Even if it means risking their new image, their safety and each other.”
  3. Watch the Frozen 2 documentary on the plus, and I’m not saying any of the three Disney animated movies will have those problems. For all we know it’s smooth sailing but they have the option if necessary if a story problem occurs or feel like the need to rework some dialogue and wouldn’t be surprising.
  4. Things still change at the last second in animation. Until you’re rated, nothing is final. Frozen II overhauled it’s story within the spring-summer period of 2019, mere months before opening.
  5. @cayommagazine Production has officially wrapped up for Endless Animation’s Gateways II, which is on track for its April 1st, Y10 date as the final cast is finally revealed: McKenna Grace Donald Glover Awkwafina Dee Bradley Baker Kimiko Glenn Lena Headley Avi Roque Jaleel White Amie Donald Diamond White Hugh Jackman with Ke Hey Quan and Samuel L. Jackson
  6. I think it’s very important that Magneto is played by a Jewish actor and don’t really want a Magneto outside that. Especially when the MCU has shit Jewish representation. Though of the current MCU director roster, Coogler is the only one who I think could pull off X-Men but I think after BP3, I would prefer and he should go back into original films or new things but I’m also okay if he sticks with Marvel as he’s their best director.
  7. So Swift is easily going to be the biggest movie of the October to December season right?
  8. Feel like Thunderbolts is more of the risk. People at least like Falcon and apart from the finale - the show reception was middle of the line MCU and not bad, and the Hulk/psuedo Avengers angle will definitely help it which has more going for it than Thunderbolts which basically screams Suicide Squad but everyone has the same skillset.
  9. The fact that’s there’s only one great one and the fact that he co-directed that one (Moana) is telling. Pooh is pretty good, but nothing to write home about. The rest are mediocre to painfully generic 2.5/5s.
  10. Got a sneaking suspicion if the strikes doesn’t end this October, 2024 for the MCU will just be Cap 4 and a shitton of Plus shows. Feige and the MCU are dead to me if Ironheart gets Batgirl’d.
  11. Oh shit! Hey, Nova, great to see you again. How you doing?
  12. My 160m was a bit optimistic but I can see a decent sized jump as Pixar Labor Day rereleases have done well. Cars 3 for instant added around 3M upon Labor Day weekend onward for its gross and it did about the same as Elemental, Inside Out added about 8M. The question is how wide of an expansion is it. If it’s about the same as TLM and around 2000 TC, then yeah it won’t happen but 2800-2900 TC it’s plausible.
  13. https://deadline.com/2023/08/hollywood-ceo-meeting-writers-strike-1235529614/ In particular, “thin skinned” Iger and Zaslav are “stunned,” according to one insider, that they have been so vilified by the guild and its members over the past several months. “Almost everyone is looking for someone to blame,” another insider says of the backbiting among the core CEOs. “They’re paralyzed, even as the clock is ticking, and it’s Ted’s fault, Iger’s fault, even Tony Vinciquerra’s fault, depending on who you ask,” the source added, name-checking the Netflix co-CEO, the Disney CEO and the Sony Pictures chair and CEO. “It’s not helping the situation, or anyone.” Lmao. Get fucked losers.
  14. The runtime thing is both a blessing and a curse. Blessing in that, theaters can probably squeeze in a lot of showings and theoretically plenty of other live actions blockbusters in the past were able to work within 100 minutes. Also tbh I think it’s feasible for an MCU movie to do 100 minutes, as animated family films like Mutant Mayhem and Puss 2 (which is about a degree of separation in terms of tone) juggled multiple characters and had satisfying arcs. However, I am not sure Marvel can pull it off, especially with the hit or miss slate that’s happened post-Endgame. All action could work but they need to really nail the action and humor, moreso than past Marvel joints. And I’m not sure Venom cheese would work for the fanbase mainly because of different expectations on what is wanted for the movie.
  15. https://x.com/borreport/status/1695811297659744578?s=46&t=FY6pEBUWSMiENrHvQSfTFA Any chance at 500m?
  16. After returning back to the states after a month long vacation in Barbados, it’s time to celebrate National Cinema Day by seeing the Barbenheimer combo. Oppenheimer starts first in about 27 minutes.
  17. The only good ones are probably Pete’s Dragon, Cinderella and Jungle Book. Aladdin 19 is a solid 3/5. The rest is a sea of mediocre too bad with Lion King 19 and Pinocchio 22 being the worst offenders. Will watch Peter Pan and Wendy (because Lowery) or The Little Mermaid (because Halle) eventually but I don’t really care about these remakes.
