As an animation fan, although I haven’t seen Coco yet, it’s sad the only good ones this year were Lego Batman, Boss Baby and Underpants. Everything else ranged from forgettable to shit. -
I can also see that at my theater. Unlike most CBMs this year, JL had no 3D not even in Ultrascreen so more tickets could be sold. From anecdotal evidence it look likely to do big numbers there. They gave it a shitton of showtimes too and the Thanksgiving schedule ready. However, after last week, instead of dropping only 5-6 showings, it lost half of them and as of today (but shown Sunday on the site), JL has to share it’s PLF with Coco.

Agreed it was inevitable for 2017 to have a decent drop. -
If JL and Coco both have a $70M five day, it’ll be the first since 2013 to happen.

It’s the typical animated teaser. $100M can happen, the whole musical angle and Star power like Zendaya and Common but WAG’s luck with September releases isn’t good. I can still see a small chance TTG overtakes this domestically for WAG’s biggest film in 2018.
