This explains a lot of the problems I had with KFP4, and apparently Universal has a runtime mandate for their animated films. I hope Stephanie Ma Stone gets more work and more chance to shine. She worked great in She-Ra and seemingly was one of the people to put in the work according to her Q&A. Got no beef against the director as I did love Lego 2 and liked Shrek 4, and more so blame Universal top brass.

@cayommagazine Da’Vine Joy Randolph (The Holdovers, The Lost City) has signed on to voice Madame Woe, the main antagonist of Endless Animation’s Inspector Gadget in A World Gone MAD, hitting theaters next Christmas. A brief logline has been released: “Inspector Gadget (Jack McBrayer), Penny (Darby Camp) and Brain are forced to team up with the nefarious Dr. Claw (Cedric Yarborough), MADdie (Kimiko Glenn) and Mad Cat in order to stop a new evil villainess and Dr. Claw’s scorned ex-fiancée, Madame Woe (Da’Vine Joy Randolph) who has taken down both of their organizations using a specter that has the power to devolve. With the scepter at hand, Woe intends to use her heartbreak by bringing things to a primal world, in aims to rid Earth of emotion. The families must learn to get along if they want to save/conquer the planet.” Pete Davidson and Ving Rhames have joined the voice cast too in unnamed roles.

My only concern with Wild Robot is facing Transformers One the week before.

Doing a KFP4/Dune 2 double feature today. Though KFP4 was easily the weakest of the franchise and tbh felt as big a letdown as Incredibles 2, I still had fun with it. Having dinner before Dune 2 in a hour, but am very glad at this being a fruitful March box office wise.

God damn at Panda. Think 50m feels certain with a good chance at 55m+ OW. 60m could happen if it plays more to kids vs adults.

Wow, it has been three months since I posted. Sorry about that school has been hectic, reviews for Q1 dropping very shortly as they are already finished. Now, I would like to introduce a special new category in this one. As we all know, Expand Dong has been awarded to the cream of the crop (4.5/5 or higher) with various other cute or cringey memes, but in this case I will be introducing a sibling to the Dong award, that you will see in reviews.

@cayommagazine Fresh of the heels of her Oscar win for Matilda and the Night Children, Aphton Corbin (TwentySomething, Matilda and the Night Children) has signed a multi-picture deal with Endless Animation to both write, produce and direct films. The deal is said to encompass various facets of the studio from family films to adult skewing projects. Aphton’s next feature is slated to be one of Endless’ films next year, with a script written by herself and Shakira Presley (My Dad The Bounty Hunter). Details are unknown as of now but is said to be centered in the future. More details will come this summer as Endless is confident in this film.

Ditto what both of y'all said. I stumbled upon this game by accident Y2 of 3.0. during my last year of high school and fell in love with this game. It not only helped me with a hobby I am passionate about but was able to build a community, build friendships with a lot of players in the game and rediscover my love for creative writing. Though am currently working on my master's degree in the sciences, a dream I had as a kid was to be a screenwriter and director and CAYOM is letting me live it somewhat. I plan to be in this game as long as I possibly can and look forward to another decade.

@Hiccup23 You could move Ping to July 3rd vs July 10th. The Furby Movie, another animated family film opens that same weekend Ping is on but a Fourth of July opener could use a family film. July 31st is an option as the Wii movies aren’t that big, and July 24th has GLC3, which even though it’s likely going to be the biggest opener of Y10, it’s a PG-13 action blockbuster and not direct competition. August 7th is an option too but you’d face Titania’s Journey next week.

I think Lightyear being a boring slog was the key reason why OW crumbled with WOM being pretty mediocre for both kids and families, and less so because of a brief gay moment that happens for like 30 seconds. Lightyear was a concept that did have intrigue but that was due to interest of the concept itself rather than interest of the film, it happens to a lot of blockbuster. KFP4 had record trailer views for Dreamworks and it might not even open to 50m.
