  1. Kang is always a loser, but his gimmick is he comes back harder and stronger. Tbh hope they still continue with the storyline but I think they should've done an Avengers at the end of Phase 4 - have him be the main villain but lose to his own arrogance but in Phase 5-6, he works his way into various spaces of the MCU gaining power through other crime and alliance and then in Dynasty, he actually becomes a threat the heroes are ill-equipped for. Like Kang helps the heroes against his Council for power but then it backfires for the heroes with Kang betraying them.
  2. Feel like shifting from Kang without a plan in motion would already further cap the DCEU vibes MCU has been having for a minute.
  3. Happy Together is posted, now The Second Water War will open 11/13 @MCKillswitch123

  5. True but on higher end scale and in fairness I think it was likely a miniseries 6-episode event which are basically glorified movies. However, I'm dubious on quality though I think families will enjoy it.
  6. “The switch was set in motion a few months ago, when Disney execs started getting a look at nearly finished episodes of the long-developing “Moana” series. The episodes, written and directed by David G. Derrick Jr. and animated at Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Canadian satellite studio, got a big thumbs up. Iger noted on the company’s earnings call last week that some at the studio thought it could be better than the movie. Soon, a plan was hatched: Could the episodes be combined into a single theatrical experience?“ https://www.thewrap.com/moana-2-disney-sequels-strategy/ So this was a recent change and likely after Wish bombed. The article also said they were trying to move up Zoo2 but that wasn't ready in time.
  7. Actually 23,161 and posted. Will try to get the other two ready for tomorrow.

  9. In fairness, no name time travel cops and no major characters from Loki having a main role especially when the second ends with time travel fuckery isn't the same as having a lead of a show as one of the leads in a movie. The GA takes things at face value, even though by design, Marvel movies are easily accessible. It's not like either Loki or Mobius as leads, nor did Kamala break into the mainstream as much as Wanda did. However, The Marvels bombing wasn't on the characters perse but a multitude of issues. Do think if Ms. Marvel was a movie, it'd help the fortunes of The Marvels more.
  10. @cayommagazine Gateways: The Empire of Zenith has now finished production and moved up 5 days early to December 18th, Y10. As previously stated, Jennifer Yuh Nelson (the Kung Fu Panda franchise, the Spark franchise) will direct the film with Adam Muto (Adventure Time showrunner, Steven Universe) has signed on to both co-write and co-direct the feature.
  11. Prepare for a afternoon drop for this baby. 22k words. I also am going to try to get Lets Eat Dad done tomorrow night so both can drop together. I also got a half done draft of Romance Road 2 I can drop.
  12. After many drafts, Gateways: The Empire of Zenith is done. It's about 21k words long and just needs to be grammar edited. The film will be uploaded tomorrow.
  13. Working on the Gateways 2 edits tonight, if I fail to finish it tonight, it'll arrive by Thursday evening at the latest and we will be good to go!
  14. I imagine something terrible happens in the 60s universe and they get transported to the mainline MCU
  15. Tbh even assuming an environment that the MCU was healthy, 250m OW for an R rated movie wouldn’t happen. Not even too sure about 200m.
  16. Feel like adding in Super Bowl views is unfair but it’s outpacing MoM view wise I guess. Feel good about 140-165m OW so long as reception is good.
  17. I’m curious and still early, how does MTC2 look, as that’s seems to be the bigger one for Comcast stuff.
  18. Looks like fun. Seems Universal is sticking to their guns on Thanksgiving, think between it and Moana 2 will end up hurting each other but the latter has more to lose.
  19. This looks like fun. Sticking with my guns on 150/400 prediction domestically provided quality is there.
  20. Review embargo is 3/6 at 12:00 PM. A friend of mine mentioned it seems like Comcast dropped the ball in marketing animation unless it's a guaranteed event as of late. Apart from Mario, their 2023 slate didn't get much and while Trolls and Migration got 3 trailers, even Bad Guys or Puss 2 was more a presence.
  21. My two other fillers are coming over the weekend. Let's Eat Dad and a Wayside adaptation
