Do we know the film's budget yet?
-
Saw this last night and wow I really enjoyed it. Late Night with the Devil and this are the biggest horror surprises for me this year. It was really engaging throughout (I did think it was maybe 10 minutes too long?). Demi Moore was fantastic and a stand out for me. The humor also hits extremely well and the audience was really engaged with the film (gasping at the gruesome scenes and dying with laughter at the funny moments.) Definitely recommend you check this out.

The Terrifier movies have certainly grown their cult following over the last 2 years, but I think the movies themselves are simply too violent and off-putting to truly break out in a big way. I’m expecting similar numbers as the second one.
I think it will break out for the trilogy like MaXXXine did if that makes sense.

That would be pretty catestrophic for it but... I could see it.
It is an animated documentary about Pharrell Williams. I just cant see enough people interested with especially how expensive tickets are to turn out for this. I am kind of surprised it is getting a wide release....or why it isn't a direct to stream movie.

Saturday Night- $10.8 million
My Hero Academia: You're Next- $5.7 million
Terrifier 3- $3.5 million
Piece by Piece- $2.2 million

This will come down to the reviews and word of mouth for me to watch it in theaters. The trailer was solid but didn't sell the concept to me. I appreciate the venture to adult animation though

These Coraline numbers are really good. I forget how much I love that movie. Sadly no theaters near me are showing it

Official Teaser for Next Poison and Wine Saga story to premiere in front of "Boy with the Green Eyes". Film is titled "Send in Death". Trailer is described as disturbing and dark. It is only 45 seconds long. It features actor Freddie Fox (character named Miles) being a true crime pod-caster and getting disturbing calls from an unknown man. All the man says is "Wanna kiss the fag?". Over the title of the film we hear in a gargled voice "Your husband did."
Film to debut in February.

Crossing fingers it delivers! Shyamalan has delivered more solid films than turds.
My Shyamalan rank (I still have to see Knock at the Cabin)
ExcellentSixth Sense
Unbreakable
Very Solid
The Village
The Visit
Split
Signs
Old
Enjoyable
The Happening
Lady in the Water
Glass
Not good
After Earth
Last Airbender
Knock at the Cabin is a very solid film. It should have made more but I understand it's limited appeal. The book on the other hand is amazing.

Happy Death Day 2 was a big disappointment for me.

This is so funny, walkups day and they’re still finding new ways to promote it. Very curious about the walkups after the strong presales cycle.
This screening has only 4 seats left...

Was bored at work and was looking at other Drafthouse locations for Longlegs to see if the Chicago Drafthouse is an anomaly....it most definitely is not.
Chicago: Sales for Saturday and Sunday are growing rapidly. Friday continues to grow steady and Thursday has kind of capped out. I added the week to see if WOM affects ticket sales for the week especially Tuesday.

So does the Longlegs title refer to the killer or Maika Monroe's body?
SpoilerKiller but also not the actual killer

Do you think it's getting a good CinemaScore?
I have honestly no idea. I can see GA audiences loving this like It Follows or absolutely hating it
Spoilerbecause of the third act
My gut is gonna say but high RT audience score

Saw this at a free showing in Chicago this past Thursday. Trailers are accurate but also hide ALOT. Excellent marketing for this trailer. It will be interesting to see how it performs. Below is a spoiler free review...keeping it in the spoilers because I just want to be safe with sharing.
SpoilerFilm is very creepy and keeps you on your toes throughout. I have never jumped more in a movie than this. You do not see the jumps coming which is very fun but gives you intense anxiety throughout the film. I wouldn't call the film scary but rather disturbing. Nicholas Cage really made my stomach turn. It also isn't gory....the atmosphere and sound is the horror factor. The third act kind of misses but doesn't flop or derail the film. Lead actress is fantastic.
