Well, Does it matter? Even if they don't remember his face or Identity, it won't matter. He would still be fighting the Crime around - so Most of World would still know - there is Superhero named "Spiderman," Avengers need Spiderman and not Peter....
It matters for the character. Peter's gone through this huge earth-shaking event that should have a profound impact on him as a person - it'd be pretty weird to just brush past that and have him quipping with the Avengers before we get a sense of where the character is at post NWH.

Bo Rhap at least had enormous box office and people who saw it seemed to like it, even if the critics didn't. Babylon's audience score is 63% right now.

Given how NWH ended, I think it'd be pretty strange to have Peter's next appearance be in an Avengers movie and not a solo movie. Spidey 4 coming out in 2024 seems pretty unlikely to me - seems they'd have to be filming by at least summer 2023 and that seems extremely quick given Holland hasn't even officially signed back on yet.

But seriously now, the demo being this young shows Chalamet has a fanbase. He's a star and has a bright future.
When the audience is that small, does it even matter

Babylon opening under $10m is very yikes.
-
Bones and All opening to $2.4m 3-day is just dreadful.
X opened to $4.2m and Pearl opened to $3.1m with zero stars and far less hype than Bones.
The Chalamet is a movie star discourse can probably pipe down a notch now.

I could be way off, but I don't think has a strong enough visual or narrative hook to pull people in. The La La Land trailer told you exactly what you were getting and so did the WOWS trailer. These trailers don't have the same pop.

Not Bros probably having a bigger opening weekend than Bones and All…
Billy Eichner a bigger movie star than Chalamet confirmed?

How the hell did Devotion get greenlit at $90m with zero stars?!

This movie flopping is fascinating to me. The Rock can sell all kinds of dreck but he can’t sell DC IP? Is his star power finally waning?

Bob needs to get under the radar MVP Zenia Mucha back asap. She largely crafted his image.
That profile where she tells a journalist off for quoting Bob as saying “gonna” instead of “going to” is so funny lol

Giving Sam a whole Captain America movie makes zero sense to me. He's not even one of the more popular supporting characters.

Neither Scarlet Witch, Yelena, nor Shuri will be in the big three. Their big new trio is Sam Captain America, Captain Marvel, and Doctor Strange. People need to get excited for these characters, not the ones you mentioned.
Is that really the new Big Three? I just don't see the fan investment for any of those characters there to make them pop.
It should be Spiderman plus F4 (if they get the casting right).

Well, RDJ and Chris Evans weren't build over one movie. By the time the Avengers came out, RDJ was in three movies already. Shang Chi and the newer characters need time to grow and develop just like the OG Avengers did in Phase 1. Plus, Scarlett Witch is massively popular, Yelena has a huge following online, and so does Shuri.
Ant-Man has had two movies plus an Avengers, Strange has had two movies plus key roles in the Avengers and NWH. I agree we should wait to see how other leads grow over time but Shang-Chi was the worst part of his own movie. I just don't see the passion there.
Having a huge following online =/= selling a movie ticket and getting butts in seats.

I think Marvel also has a lead character problem. People had an emotional attachment to RDJ and Chris Evans and Chadwick - I don't see that same investment for any of their leads now except Tom as Spiderman. Yes, Ant-Man 3 and Captain Marvel and Shang-Chi and Strange will make money - but is it going to endure past opening weekend? WF has shown that as strong as your supporting characters are, you need your lead there to be the anchor.

So weird to me how "critics" nowadays are basically just stan accounts who somehow got approved for RT. Roger Ebert is spinning in his grave.
Thank you - it's so embarrassing. Film Twitter is honestly the most annoying thing to happen to the industry.

I feel like the Marauders prequel is the correct way to go. Still has the Hogwarts link, obviously close link to Harry, many of the HP characters like Sirius, Lupin and Snape are in it so there's familiarity.

This is getting a fast-tracked digital release for next week, November 22
Whaaaat, already?

How’s Bones and All tracking?

Would BP2 have opened bigger if Chadwick was still alive?
Opening under DS2 given how huge the first BP was feels underwhelming.

The word "Avengers" doesn't guarantee they will be on the level of IW and EG. We haven't had the real build up for either of these like we did for 6 years leading to IW. Kang's been a blip so far (no pun intended) and we've had nothing for Secret Wars yet.
I find it odd they're not warming up with a starter Avengers movie first to establish character dynamics and relationships. None of the characters would have even met before Kang Dynasty before being thrown into the messy plot. It would be like starting the last saga with Infinity War.
