likely wont like Canada when your taxes go up dramatically and your wage down 40% and you pay 8 bucks a gallon for gasThat is why few americans actually move to canada
I mean if we gonna be extreme can I call California a One party state?
wont matter about taxes. Hawaii is expensive too but my kids college is already covered cost wise. Just focusing now on room and board and she’s 7 so all will be covered.all expenses will be gone so not really worried about income. Wife will still make a shitload in Canada or Hawaii. Going down from 300 to 250 or 225 doesn’t really matter.
goes to show you no matter how much you make America still is crap. Not even top 25
lived I England for 3 years. Much better than this festering turd

honestly the whole country is useless. Mass shootings happen all the time with nothing done. Honestly I am excited for the day I leave the country for good and never come back.
hopefully my kiddo moves abroad. My family can come see me if they want. My goal is to never set foot in America again post 48ish. Another 10.5 years to go sadly

Unlike doctor strange which was way too dark this looks awesome. Can’t wait. Trying to convince 7 year old to watch all 3 with me 😂
-
Too gruesome, too dark, Wanda element sucks imo. Daughter can’t see it even though she wanted to. Not shocked at all.
went from wanting to see in theaters ASAP like NWH to no chance and happy to wait until streaming.
-
Dr Strange did 677m total. With China shutting down and blocking every damn marvel film for pure spite this will dwarf that. It's fine. Nothing like NWH (no surprise there) but still very solid.

Fiction movies don’t accurately follow other oblivious fiction? Oh no! Lol

Rgith now the bigger worry is will XI openly support Putin's invasion of Ukraine, which would cause CHina to be hit with a bunch of sacntions, and might lead to China cutting further the number of Western movies alloed into the country.'
Have to assume he won’t. Unlike Putin Xi isn’t insane and is still intelligent. Putin is a nut job, acting worse than Trump now. His country will suffer for decades thanks to his stupidity

Wait a damn second. 230m ? Maybe it means first 2 weeks I could see that maybe. Jesus I’m pessimistic at 1.5 to 3.5B globally lol come on now
I expect it to be the #1 or #2 grosser. 800m domestic is brutally hard but behind NWH #2 should be 600 or less I bet. Could easily it doing that and then some.

The release is still 9+ months from now so whether it's released or not is entirely up in the air. But yes $117M USD is off the table and always has been. It can break the rubles record in Russia and would make less than $40M at this point.
ruble will fall farther. Russia will enter North Korea territory. Too bad they don’t have the stones to take out Putin. Gonna destroy their country -

hey, I’m their biggest fan! I’ve been lucky enough to have been to all the parks countless times and am an animation nut. Several of their hand drawn animated films are amongst my favourite films of all time.
However, none of those 200 million users would have unsubscribed if Turning Red hadn’t debuted on the platform. Many of them would have paid top dollar to see it in cinemas. They’ve literally thrown money away in my opinion.
I think this will be the last time they do it with a Pixar film though. They looked at omicron in January and thought they needed to make a call. Made the wrong one, but hey ho.
My stance on ‘mega movies straight to Disney+’ around here is well documented ad nauseum by now. So I shall say no more
It was a calculated risk because they weren’t sure about reception, definite fail I agree. Movie was awesome. Man those red pandas were HUGE- 1

At least Disney can console themselves with their existing subscribers who wouldn’t have cancelled watching Turning Red for free this weekend in their droves. What a business model. Lmao
Lol Disney will hit 200m users in what a couple years. Took Netflix ages. Disney doesn’t lose for Christ sakes look at Disney land. I’m a cheap bastard and I took my daughter for 1 day free (wife’s best friend works there)going for 3 day hopper for her birthday. Yea she’s spoiled as hell and I still love Disney land at 37

Yep, im talking worlwide. And as long as we have no footage (i.e. a trailer and proper marketing) for me Avatar 2 is a huge wildcard that has a range of 1 to 3 Billion worlwide honestly imo. While i understand everyones logic that Cameron will deliver another mass-appealing phenomenon its equally possible that Avatar 2 doesnt resonate with audiences in the same way as the first one did. A trailer could help immenseley with judging this movies potential.
actually me and you are very much on the same page. Only difference is my range is 1.5B to 3.5B. Massive range with tons of variables.- 2

Im personally hoping for this just to be an exciting run. Meaning a boring 1,5 Billion would be kind of lackluster, either go full-bananas 2 Billion + or stumble to a measly 1 Billion or below. Both would be massively entertaining to follow for different reasons.
Are you talking world wide? I'm pessimistic and I think as long as China goes in heavy it does 2B without much effort. Avatar 1 had incredible world wide appeal. It will do great in South America, all of Asia, amazing in Europe and hell everywhere. Do I think it's a lock to repeat the last one? Nope but it's not impossible either.

Inflation was bigger in 2009 after global economic crisis that now and in addition Avatar had the advantage of 3D which had just arrived and which caused prices to increase even more. Look at the numbers it made in Russia/Australia/Spain/Italy and many other countries. With the same number of admits today, the receipts would be much lower.
If you want we can compare the admissions of AEG and Avatar and you will understand that Marvel has no limit
AEG: 393 million admissions
Avatar: 286M admissions
Not comparable...
International currency was so much higher versus the dollar back then too. Admissions show just how much different it was. For christ sakes it had 35% more admissions.

I absolutely hate 3D anything that requires glasses and looks awful without them sucks. Avatar 2 3D without them could have recaptured that spark they had the first time. Technology is not ready at that scale.

China Film Group may invest the movie. They will treat it gently if that happen.
Nice I want it to succeed. 2.5B or more would be awesome and China is make or break on it -

Was the first avatar even relying on kids/families? It felt more like a 4 quad explosion like titanic was
I think Avatar had a lot going for it this time it won't. I don't think it flops but the delusional 4B predictions are annoying. Without China is does worse than NWH

March is completely empty. Like NWH, The Batman will benefit from beeing the sole big action movie for quite a while. With the great WOM it seems to get, a multiplier over 3 seems very likely imo.
Interesting, we shall see WOM doesn't seem like NWH at all to me but maybe I'm wrong. Still if the slate is that bad 2.6x at 340 should be fine then. Will be interesting, this weekend wasn't great that's for sure.

Families with 5-15 year olds are gonna buy Aquaman 2 tickets, not Avatar 2 tickets, for their Christmas present viewing...kids know Aquaman - none of them know Avatar. So, if anything moves out of the Christmas corridor, it won't be Aquaman, b/c kids and families skied Spidey's box office this year, and Aquaman after that 1st movie, will skew more family than not...
I think people are underestimating just how big a failure it it was to wait 14 years for a franchise with no other movies. I was barely out of college when Avatar came out. Many kids have never even seen the first one.
Aquaman 2 gonna be SO good

I was thinking 340 and adjusted accordingly for the comment. Reviews are solid but not great and I'm not sure about replay watchability. I think 300m is possible but I think 340 is stretching it.
BVS was sub 2.0
