There is no real Messiah because there is no real prophecy. The Bene Gesserict crafted it so that it could be used by the candidate of their choosing in due time. Paul was capable of passing those trials because he was trained to do so by someone who already knew what he would need to fulfill the prophecy to begin with.

It was always simply a story the Bene Gesserict seeded onto the Fremen to manipulate them when the time came. That it backfired and was used by a different party instead is merely coincidental.

Thank you for your analysis. I would like to push back on something.

Paul was capable of passing those trials because he was trained to do so by someone who already knew what he would need to fulfill the prophecy to begin with.

The fact that he was trained doesn't mean that he would pass the tests. Also we know from both movies that Bene Gesserit mixed bloodlines for generations in order to find the one (the chosen one). Paul successfully passing the tests indicates that he is the Messiah, Chosen one or whatever you wanna call him. 😄

ultimately, it adds to the tragedy of it all: Paul is now on the path of destruction and has betrayed Chani’s trust and love. Stilgar and the Fremen are being led by a false profit, with their faith being taken advantage of. And the universe is about to get messed up.

How do we know Paul is a false prophet and not the Messiah the Fremen were waiting?

Paul and Jessica drank the water of life and didn't die so that adds to the credibility of Paul being the Messiah.

PLF ratio is absurd from what I’m looking like in the UK.  Pre-sales rock solid in those screens all week and into the following week.  People want to see it the full premium way, and will wait if they have to.

Yet again we have a movie that will prove multiplexes need to get more of these screens. It should be a priority for the business

Third year in a row we have this situation.

Avatar The Way of Water, Oppenheimer and now Dune II.

We are probably going to see more of this happening in the future if the demand is bigger than what the theaters can offer.

  4. Did anyone post about this news or not? because I didn't find any discussion about it in here. 😀

  5. Can someone explain me WB's thinking and strategy?

They release the first trailer to Furiosa, a prequel to Mad Max Fury Road that was released 8 years ago and have literraly no promotion on X (because of the Elon thing not going to say more everyone knows the story). Not a single poster or the trailer.

House of The Dragon a show on HBO streaming on MAX all owned by WB are all in promoting House of The Dragon Season 2.

For Furiosa they let multiple low quality copies of the trailer go viral on X and that definitely had a negative effect on the reception. They had free publicity and they let it all go for what?

That was a bad trailer. Real bad.

It looked like Kevin feige produced it and Peyton Reed directed it.

Not at all what I expected. Gives off studio mandated reboot vibes, never would have even guess Miller directed it from that trailer.

It's just so sterile, clean and digital looking.

And Hemsworth and Anya are no Hardy and Theron.

This is ridiculous and over the top commentary for the trailer. Especially on Miller.

Doubting George Miller on a Mad Max universe movie is like doubting Cameron on Avatar.

Also you have an opinion on Hemsworth and Anya based on few seconds from the trailer?

Also I didn't know we had so many experts in here about practical effects and VFX.
