ITALY (Botteghino): 'Kung Fu Panda 4' stronger than predecessor
XO21 replied to Quigley's topic in International Box Office
they were walk-in driver and they tended to skew older. _ Big big numbers for the OD which is a working day. I've seen showtimes until December 22 which have already been selling some tickets. A theatre I checked had 8 showtimes basically sold out and I guess they have to add more screens. -
"In the United Kingdom, Holland’s birthplace, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” is experiencing some of that sky-high interest. Theatre chain Vue says it sold more than 150,000 tickets to “No Way Home” on Monday alone, setting a company record for the highest volume on launch day in history. Sales were double that of pre-orders for Vue’s previous record-holder “Avengers: Endgame” (which opened to $55 million in the U.K.) and four times as much as “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” (which opened to $37 million in the U.K.)." https://variety.com/2021/film/news/spider-man-no-way-home-record-ticket-sales-omicron-1235123000/

65-70m it's totally fine. People who are disappointed should keep their expectations in check for Eternals though. -
Some good details from Deadline "Comscore/Screen Engine’s PostTrak shows that only 19% of the audience bought their tickets in advance (by either a week or month ago), indicating that Venom 2 received a bulk of walk-up business. Sixty-six percent of those who watched the Sony sequel bought their ticket day of, while 15% bought their tickets the day prior. On PostTrak, they enjoyed the movie at 4 stars."
