  1. Careful though, the counts are totally skewed sometimes. It's hard to explain but the auditoriums will show the total number of seats sold but the seat count for the entire auditorium only reflects non-D-Box seats. Or it's the other way around. Something like that. In a nutshell, you can't always trust the counts. Auditoriums without a sub-section of speciality seats though? You should be good there. Sorry, I wish I could remember EXACTLY the issues I faced whenever I would do tracking for my theatre but I haven't done it since Endgame so I forget the details of the predicament. I didn't even notice what it was but I did know that when I looked at the seating chart with my own eyes sometimes it didn't look like it matched the count. Then someone here, whether it was @DAJK or @Lordmandeep, I can't remember, pointed out the discrepancy.
  2. I'm sorry you feel that way. A lot of people like me are getting tired of being bullied into silence by the left when it comes to our opinions and views. Generalizing me as "one of those MRA types" is an example of the kind of broad strokes the left is becoming famous for. Anyway, my point was it's funny how the majority of the audience that saw this film on OW are the types the writers/director are trying to vilify. I'm not mad, I genuinely find it comical.
  3. Yeah this is kind of how I feel. I know change is often a good thing, but I see it as more of a disruption of what I've been doing my whole life.
  4. As long as you take the stick outta your ass, there's no reason why someone wouldn't find this movie hilarious and good fun,
  5. Which is why feminists can't complain. The men/boys end up paying the bills.
  6. I agree that there was no need for the script to exaggerate Scruggs' character in a negative light, but it's also true the AJC is using it as the perfect distraction. Barely anyone is talking about the victim depicted in this film and his family.
  7. Woah! @baumer @DAJK @Barnack @Lordmandeep and all our other resident Canadians: your thoughts on this? For most of my life I've grown to trust Cineplex as a brand so I really hope that not much changes. I don't like change.
  8. That's....next level marketing. In fairness, if you're Sony you may as well go all in on this because it actually looks really good and really scary.
  9. Yep, this got completely rejected by audiences. Funny enough, the 44% it's rocking on RT is much better than I thought.
  10. There was a very common reaction I read online, which was that people's audiences were laughing all throughout the movie. Well, ditto mine! These characters man, they're just an absolute hoot so spend a couple hours with in cinemas which is why you get those kind of reactions. Having actors act like other actors is a money-in-the-bank trope. I don't know if I can compare which was better. They're both great in their own ways! I think all that needs to be said is it's an effective sequel: it offered the humour, heart and swashbuckling action of the first, while introducing new characters and corners of Jumanji to make it fresh. The ending also leaves the audience invested, so when you combine that with the actors acting like other actors trope I mentioned, you have a recipe for another sequel or two. No doubt. Just like the last one (although not obviously THAT good), this should play very strongly over the holidays.
  11. So according to BOM (Sigh, I know, I just use it for the calendar) this is now releasing on Friday April 10. Yet, I can't find anything online about it. Anyone else know anything?
  12. Seeing a matinee showing in about 4 hours. Watched Welcome to the Jungle last night and forgot how fun(ny) it was. Looking forward to it!
  13. Previews: 4.7 Friday: 14.3 Saturday: 21.4 Sunday: 16 Total OW: 56.4 Being pretty generous with the Saturday bump but it might not be too outrageous. We'll see.
  14. I can see you're new. In fairness, we have some really skilled trackers as well as people who are privy to inside information. We still shouldn't jump to absolute conclusions but if the wind is blowing a certain direction in this thread nobody can be blamed for going with that.
  15. Wondering if Annie in 2014 would be a good comparison for this. Opened on December 19 and did $15.86M over the weekend. Ended its run with $85.11M domestic. Thoughts?
  16. That's the usual thinking, but I feel like it never applies to Star Wars, no matter how liked the movie is. Then again, we're always seeing completely new things happen in box office so who the hell knows?
