  3. then D+ would've been much better. I guess they had some contract for theater exclusive release.
  4. you quote marvel film. spiderman charcater and sequal to Rocky Balboa. the reality is those case are very few good apple, driven by obvious other big factor. 9 bad review out of 49 verifed review are like this, and who knows with other 0.5 star think. lol 1. Very inappropriate for kids 2. Its totally inappropriate to walk into a kids movie with no heads up that they will be presenting that. It ruined the whole movie. 3. Sad day for Disney ... interracial couple has a son ... son has a boyfriend ... WTH is wrong with our society 4. besides the woke factor it wasn't to bad. 5. Movie was alright, just didn’t like the constant “sexuality” theme that Disney keeps trying to sneak into its movies. 6. Did not like the in your face sexuality of the young characters 7. Not good. Too woke for my taste 8. Very disappointed with the PC path Disney is choosing 9. wish there was a warning about homosexuality anyway, sample is too small. but ironically it has 87% score in homophobic south korea where gay marrige is illegal, lgbt is barely visible on media or society. so yeah. that 60% is clearly not all that and B cinema score was clearly lowered due to that audience.
  5. besie poor marketing and lack of buzz. the film is fine. that audience score is cealry.. from "them". looks like some are mad about lgbt/black lead characters. anyway, the discourse is annoying. the right is full on lgbt/black hate right now. left is like we want sex scene or all fake representation. Disney might as well go back to white/straight/male driven films for profit and sanity.
  6. 11.11~13 Weekend BP2 - 793,376 (1,086,793) Thor4 first week was 1,764,656

  8. I assume it won't have great reaction across Asia the film being 2 hours 40m doesn't help when it already has disadvantage for being black film. and then you have all that incels hating to fuel it. also Marve seems like really lost popularity. they need big thing asap. new avengers with spiderman or doctor strange, or spiderman lol x-men.. etc..
  9. oh also squid game's success changed the game. now everyone want the taste of that global success and reach.
  10. it's not about Marvel or Chadwick. people are simply no longer interested in theater like that when streaming is out there with cheaper price, fast and easier. South Korea always been fast and adopted to new trend and technology. Streaming is the Future and Covid accelerated it. Sadly Theater in here will never be the same as before. and recent ticket price raising made huge negative reactions with online consent of "theater are not worth it anymore" boxoffice is already polarized more than ever and will be more. more local films are going to netflix or other streaming. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2019 Attendance January : 18,122,443 February : 22,277,733 March : 14,671,693 April : 13,338,962 May : 18,062,457 June : 22,845,579 July : 21,916,465 August : 24,786,121 September : 14,733,642 October : 14,858,383 (185,613,478) November : 18,600,679 December : 22,464,620 Total : 226,678,777 2022 Attendance January : 5,718,042 February : 3,272,019 March : 2,799,159 April : 3,119,523 May : 14,559,868 June : 15,474,601 July : 16,290,442 August : 14,956,595 September : 9,860,585 October : 6,201,118 (Total 92,251,952) November : December : still -50% attendance compare to pre-covid despite all the restriction is gone and everyone is out there. ----------------------------------------- 2019 : +1m films : 50 / +500k films : 72 2022 so far : +1m films : 18 / +500k films : 26
