  1. I have looked at the video and he never said "turning residents over to ICE", he never said "residents' and he never said "ICE".. that was completely made up by that person on Twitter. Unfortunately this is how disinformation is used. I'm ok with calling out Trump when he says stupid things, but when you're inventing words he never said you're just creating more unnecessary hate and divide.
  2. I'm ok with criticizing individual cases of stupidity, which is exactly what i did too. I gave one example of stupidity from the left, without generalization. But there were some posts in here with generalized hate against a wide group of people of many races and ethnicities just because they are religious. I reiterate: i just gave one example without generalization, just like there were so many other examples in here with stupid things said or done by some religious people, which should be called out, and rightfully so.
  3. The usual patronizing and false labeling.. i had only 105 posts in three years on this forum, but you can call me a troll if it makes you feel better. And i'm just pointing out the wrongs on all sides of the political spectrum regarding the coronavirus. But i guess i can't do that without being chastised. I can quote many posts from here with literal hate speech against religion and conservatives which were not only tolerated but actually praised.

For some people, political correctness is more important than finding the vaccine and saving a lot of lives.
  5. https://edition.cnn.com/2020/04/22/africa/coronavirus-famine-un-warning-intl/index.html Coronavirus pandemic will cause global famine of 'biblical proportions', UN warns. UN shared this report two days ago, and no one seems to care or take it seriously, they are too occupied with their usual trivial issues. Many of the poorer countries rely on imports of foods from richer countries. Several countries have already banned exports of food to secure the needs of their own population, other countries will follow. UN warns of around 1 billion people will be on the brink of starvation if we don't act soon, using the term "biblical proportions" to emphasize its importance.
  6. Almost all american media is a joke. Here in Romania, most of the media is still doing actual journalism, presenting the news stories in an objective manner, without trying to spin them or frame them to serve their political bias. In the US media the bias is so obvious, the left-wing media are basically cheerleaders for the democrats and the right-wing media are cheerleaders for the republicans.
  7. What are you talking about? It's been clearly stated in many posts that only state governors have the power to make that decision. And it's a normal debate about what would be the best decision.. you are creating a divide when you raise ludicrous arguments like "civil war".
  8. You claim to fight against hate, and yet you are the one that is preaching hate and fearmongering with some fantasy "civil war".
  9. Here is a report of the situation in Guayaquil, the biggest city in Ecuador: https://edition.cnn.com/2020/04/03/americas/guayaquil-ecuador-overwhelmed-coronavirus-intl/index.html "Bodies are being left on the streets in an overwhelmed ecuadorian city." "The streets of Ecuador's western city of Guayaquil are deserted, with few residents in sight -- and a few dead, as bodies are being left in the streets of this overwhelmed place. The coronavirus pandemic is overloading the public services in the country's most populous city to a point of collapse. Hospitals have no beds left to accept sick patients, and morgues, cemeteries and funeral homes are straining. With no place left to put them, some residents say they have no choice but placing them outside." "We have been waiting for five days," Fernando Espana said in a video obtained by Reuters on March 30, as he complained about the struggles to have authorities come pick up his family member. The smell is too much to take. "It's the odor from the body that one can no longer handle," Espana's neighbor, Glenda Larrea Vera says in the same video, from across the street and behind a mask. "And we also have neighbors that are elderly. I have my mother who is 80 who is also having respiratory problems." Guayaquil's mayor Cynthia Viteri has desperately begged for help from the national government in a video posted to her Twitter account last week. "What is happening in the country's public health system? They are not taking away the dead from houses, they're leaving them on the sidewalks, they're falling in front of hospitals. No one wants to pick them up," she said. The official number of deaths in Ecuador is 145, but the real number is exponentially higher and likely will never be known.
  10. The situation in Spain in getting really bad, it will pass Italy soon in total number of cases. But the spanish authorities have only themselves to blame for that. Look what happened on march 8, The International Women's Day, when Spain had already over 600 confirmed cases: https://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2020-03-08/thousands-march-in-spain-on-womens-day-despite-coronavirus-fears Thousands marched in Spain on Women's Day despite coronavirus fears. One protester held a sign that read: "Machismo kills more than coronavirus." The Spanish Government is totally responsible for allowing that big infection party to take place. They literally have blood in their hands.
  11. Actually it was New York Gov. Cuomo that did that first. He accused people of stealing masks and other medical equipment from hospitals: https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/06/people-are-stealing-face-masks-from-local-hospitals-gov-cuomo-says.html And no, i'm not a Trump supporter, but i'm a supporter of facts and truth, Earlier Trump said that Seoul has 38 million people. Yep, he made a mistake there, he's not probably that good at world demographics. You know, when i was growing up in totalitarian communist Romania, we were taught at school about how evil America is, and how bad americans are, and so many other nasty words. And i believed that, because there was nothing else to invalidate that. That's the power of suggestion without counterbalance. It took me a long time to realize that americans are not that bad actually.
  12. That's what happens when you read just the headlines without reading the whole article. Here is the article by Vox: https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2020/3/30/21199538/coronavirus-mask-trump-new-york-hospital-stealing If you look inside the article they have the exact quote from Trump. Here it is: " Something is going on, and you ought to look into it as reporters. Where are the masks going? Are they going out the back door? How do you go from 10,000 to 300,000? And we have that in a lot of different places. So, somebody should probably look into that, because I just don’t see, from a practical standpoint, how that’s possible to go from that to that. And we have that happening in numerous places — not to that extent; that was the highest number I’ve heard." He never mentioned nurses, that was completely made up by the media.
  13. See, it's exactly this condescending attitude that doesn't win you any favors. I think we know better what's going on in our own east-european countries. He wrote a correct depiction of the situation in Hungary and you just mocked him for that.
  14. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2w9M6K9vSUM&feature=youtu.be&t=884 In this new upload from Peak Prosperity, it shows why wearing a mask works. There is an analysis of a video filmed with special techniques of two people talking, and the video process captures the particles that are coming out of their mouths while talking, and some of the particles fall to the ground but some still are floating around in the air, and they big enough to be captured in the video process which means they can definitely contain lots of viruses. Watch from 14:44 to 16:27 for that specific part.
  15. We know liberals are not going to take advice from Fox or Trump, but they are going to read what The Washington Post is saying. And most people don't even read long articles anyway, they just read headlines.
