An aspect that will be underrated in this one but also has been very much in play in the MI films since Ghost Protocol (thank you Brad Bird) is the physical comedy in the actions scenes. The Rome sequence has some great laughs and even the stuff at the end with the train and motorbike has some great gags. It's something John Wick does really well too and it's what helps make these series stick out compared to the rest.

Luca 9. Lightyear 10. Brave 11. The Good Dinosaur 12. Cars 2 Definitely think this era is stronger than the movies after Toy Story 3 though Elio matching Coco is a tall order. EDIT: Actually it would be Cars 3 next which I actually liked but a way easier bar to clear than Coco

After Dead Reckoning Part 2 I can see enough time passing that Cruise might not continue the franchise even though it isn't necessarily positioned as the final one. He has the space movie with Doug Liman next and multiple other projects with McQ that aren't MI related.

Pretty much how I feel

Guess my mission should I choose to accept is to kidna....I mean convince people to watch Dead Reckoning Pt 1 before Barbie dominates the cultural sphere.

Can you point to where I said anything to do with budget? I merely mentioned that the movie is making money I never said anything about it breaking even at the box office Past couple of weeks must have been rough here for you whenever someone mentioned Elemental's legs.

The whole point is that Pixar needed a movie to show it can make money at the Box Office which this one is doing despite the terrible OW. No one here is saying it's a triumph but it's a good first step in Pixar's return to theatrical releases and original films which btw no other studio has had success in let alone original animated fare. Will be interesting to see how Migration does for Illumination.

Alot of doom and gloom takes about Elemental and Pixar already look well outdated as Elemental will eventually land above $400M

If anything the fact the MCU kept bringing back Peggy Carter despite her being limited to the past is a testiment to Hayley Atwell. But yeah her role here uses her to her full potential.

Maybe my expectations for this were too high but I always thought this would be S Tier Nolan. The material and subject matter just seems tailored made for Nolan. Gonna be rewatching Memento, Dunkirk and Tenet before this one. Managed to book IMAX tickets for the first time as well for my second viewing in August.

Liked this one alot more than the teaser at Celebration. The scope looks massive and as time passes on my love of Rebels continues to grow and grow.

Wish we'd get another live action project from him soon

At least from Green Lantern we got a good celeb couple and a likeable movie star being able to joke about it. The Flash has uh?

I also think this one you don't really need that much knowledge of the others. Fallout I think you needed to have at least watched Rogue Nation and MI3 to get the full impact. Also probably has the most sense of danger since the MI3 as well

Was school holidays for the past two weeks. Nice to see this movie do alot better than everyone expected

Cruise will most likely do that space movie with Doug Liman after MI8 and then that R rated gnarly action movie with McQ after

She and Ethan have some great moments following up on their chemistry in Rogue Nation and Fallout

His role in the movie means he is divorced a bit from the main action but his presence is felt in alot of it and there's one scene he is in which was a big highlight of mine.

Yeah this one is pretty fantastic. The best sequences for me were the ones that emphasised on suspense although the usual action ones are well executed ofc. Hayley Atwell definitely stood out for me her role is a good departure from previous MI leading females. The Part One is somewhat justified but it's a more complete film than AtSV or Fast X. I'm not sure anything will top Fallout for me in this series but this comes damn close.

Fallout Rogue Nation Ghost Protocol I III II Need to rewatch 2 to see if my feeling of it improve but even the 3rd one I really like which makes the other ones some of the best action movies in the last 25 years.

I guess Oppenheimer is a very timely movie for this summer

Yeah this film hit all the right notes for me even though I wouldn't say it did anything too unexpected. When the film let's the visuals and music do the heavy lifting in certain scenes (thank God Thomas Newman is back) it's breathtaking. I can see why WOM is very good it certainly leaves you with a very good feel factor. More of this and less of Lightyear please Pixar.

And I thought the only thing Flash and Morbius had in common was Michael Keaton...
