  1. Early signs encouraging though can't remember how they compare to the early Spectre reactions. Just watched Goldeneye for the first time (up there with the best Bond films) was reminded how good Judi Dench is as M. She really was missed in Spectre.
  2. The Village Bride felt like Miyazaki in a Star Wars setting. Fantastic story that sorta has been done a bit before but executed well. As I understand The Ninth Jedi was made very much in mind where it could potentially take place in the timeline so I'd actually love to see more episodes based on this story cause it introduced some very cool concepts and storylines which aren't wrapped up by the episode's end.
  3. Yeah agreed I can see the 2nd trailer showcasing alot more of the villains roles in the film and then your final shot is of Tobey, Andrew and Tom if the first two are in it. I decided to not really worry too much about spoilers for this movie and what I read so far that is rumoured actually has alleviate a decent amount of my fears for this film so hopefully the 2nd trailer confirms some of it. Also while the GA may not be fully dialled into the conversation about whether Tobey and Andrew are in this one part of the hype that seeing Doc Ock generated is the implication that at least Tobey may make an appearance so it would make sense to fulfil that promise in the 2nd trailer. This is ofc assuming they have decent roles in the film and not glorified cameos.
  4. Watched the two Dalton entries. Overall his portrayal of Bond isn't that memorable but while I didn't think much of The Living Daylights I really enjoyed Licence to Kill. It reaffirms I prefer my Bond a bit more serious which is why Daniel Craig is probably my favourite.
  5. Depending on Doctor Strange's role in NWH there may be a limit on how much Marvel can show in the first teaser for this film.
  6. Yeah it does feel inevitable this will underperform which say what you want about the Star Wars prequels or the Hobbit movies but they were amongst the biggest movies in their era. The problem with all the Grindelwald and Dumbledore stuff is they skipped over the part people probably were interested in the most which is the era they actually worked together and the turn where their relationship breaks down.
  7. Alright so far I've seen The Duel and Tatoonie Rhapsody. Loved The Duel felt liked it was ripped straight out of a Kurosawa film (I've only seen Seven Samurai and The Hidden Fortress). Tatoonie Rhapsody will probably be more divisive among fans but really enjoyed it and it honestly wouldn't be that out of place with canon. So far I've noticed both episodes do a really good job of the stories recognizably taking place in the Star Wars universe as I was only worried that the show would just be a bunch of fantasy stories that bear no resemblance to Star Wars except the title but nope no one can mistake they both clearly are in the Star Wars universe. EDIT: I also watched them subbed only and only plan to watch the English dub once I've seen all the episodes
  8. I was mostly weirded out and confused in the first half but after embracing what they were going for it's alot of fun. Probably still the weakest episode since Captain Carter.
  9. It's more important for the industry that MCU films continue to generate massive interest in cinemas rather than how many Oscars they win. If some dislike their success that's their opinion that they are entitled to have.
  10. It's nice though we have a more traditional score for a Batman film though I really did enjoy the Zimmer-Nolan collab with TDK Trilogy. Giacchino is a pretty safe choice but solid nevertheless. EDIT: Mustn't forget the James Newton Howard contributions too
  11. Despite the ups and downs I think most people have a positive opinion on the Craig era which speaks to how much Daniel Craig has done a good job of defining Bond for this era. I do expect the next Bond to veer towards being less serious as is the trend for most blockbusters these days.
  12. Yeah this one I liked more than last week. I liked it especially that Again always a sucker for anything set in Phase 1 era.
  13. Simu Liu could easily deny he made those comments if they weren't true. Regardless this won't cost him is job but should be another lesson to regarding social media that I'm sure will come up unfortunately in future for people in fame (unfortunate that comments like these will be made just to be clear). An apology to those who felt hurt by his comments isn't too much to ask I don't think regardless if he had addressed them already or not.
  14. It is the same terms he had with WB so I understand why would he want to backdown on any of those conditions. In a way it's cool to see a director can demand that much yet still be highly sought after.
  15. I mean if any franchise can hold multiple spin offs it's Batman. They could easily cancel this one if the movie isn't a success.
  16. I would have guessed $300M-$350M prepandemic and with the initial Feb release. We also don't know how much the pandemic affects how studios market their films and GA awareness.
