  1. Movies: Up til April I'm finally going to watch all the James Bond films having only seen a handful outside the Craig era Dr No: 7/10 Wish we got to see more of Dr No but as a starting point quite solid From Russia With Love: 9/10 Easily on the best Bond movies with a more espionage tone than Dr No. Goldfinger (rewatch): 8.5/10 Not much more I can say than the quintessential Bond movie Raging Bull: 9/10 I love sports dramas but can't think of one as more compelling and complex as this one with De Niro giving his finest performance. TV: My Hero Academia Season 2: This show is scratching the itch that no other superhero content has given me so far which is how someone actually trains up to be a superhero. Fantastic expansion of the world and characters so far. Ducktales Season 3: If you're a Disney fan lowkey this is one of the best animation shows from Disney in a while. A rare reboot done right. The Boys Season 2: Interesting last episode though storywise this season has moved more slowly than Season 1.
  2. Yup was inevitable with Bond moving to April. Gonna make it hard for new movies to move to next summer
  3. Hope this is referring to this movie and not the Kraven spin-off Sony keeps trying to happen. Kraven would be a good villain with Peter on the run.
  4. Jamie Foxx is a good actor but it's not like people are clamouring for reprising his role from a movie that forced Sony to make this deal in the first place unlike JK Simmons. Plus I liked that this iteration of Spidey was using unused villains.
  5. Gilroy is still executive producer and showrunner. It'll be like how Favreau couldn't do any directing for S1 of Mando due to TLK.
  6. I've been a bit unwell this week so didn't watch much but I started rewatching some of the Walt Disney Treasure DVDs I have starting with the Black and White Mickey Mouse cartoons. I forget how much I enjoyed watching those as a kid and it's amazing to see how much Walt Disney is pushing the medium of animation in the 1920s and 1930s.
  7. Rumours are Sasha Banks is playing a certain Mandalorian we've seen before but looking again seems unlikely.
  8. Kang makes sense since what happened in Endgame though would never have guessed Ant-Man being hist first appearance. Ant-Man and the Wasp is one of my least favourite MCU films but that's not indicative on Scott Lang the character who was one of the best characters in Endgame.
  9. Disney doesn't want to set a precedent for MCU Films debuting on Disney+. It's an easier decision for Soul since it's a one off Pixar film.
  10. Movies: The Hidden Fortress: Gotta say alot funnier than I expected but like Seven Samurai no matter how many films continue to borrow or be inspired by this film it doesn't take away how great this film is 8.5/10 Mulan (1998): Always interested to see which particular Disney films people grew up with. Mulan was one I watched far more than say Beauty and the Beast or The Little Mermaid growing up. 8.5/10 Mulan (2020): I mentioned this elsewhere but I like the idea of this film more than the execution. Still was mildly entertained but that's it 6/10 Taxi Driver (1976): I've really only watched Scorsese's later films never any from his early filmography so correcting that now, 9/10 Citizen Kane (1942): Finally got around to watching this one 9/10 TV: The Office Season 9: So ends my watch of The Office which while had a mediocre final season had some really good final episodes and a pretty good finale. Overall was really glad I got around to watching this show as it certainly has helped me through the current lockdown period. The Boys Season 2: So far so good with how the consequences of S1's ending has propelled this season. Agree with everyone about Hughie though I'll say I don't hate him but yeah he isn't as fun as the other characters. My Hero Academia Season 2: Any story that revolves around a tournament or a sports element always gets my interest.
  11. I think they'll move it to February and it will be the last time they move it. Move Eternals to May then Shang Chi to July.
  12. “The new season is about introducing a larger story in the world,” says Favreau, who notes the show will expand beyond Mando-centric tales. “The stories become less isolated, yet each episode has its own flavor, and hopefully we’re bringing a lot more scope to the show.” Adds Filoni, “Everything gets bigger, the stakes get higher, but also the personal story between the Child and the Mandalorian develops in a way I think people will enjoy.” Easiest comparison would be to Star Wars Rebels where the first season was very much just about the Ghost crew while in S2 the scope expanded with introductions to familiar characters but didn't lose focus on the original Ghost crew which I hope remains the case in S2.
  13. Megamind didn't have those Minions but I agree though the first Despicable Me film was pretty good
  14. They're gonna start looking into that area with The Gray Man directed by the Russo Brothers
